I’d Never Forget You a2z Scrapbooking Supplies and Hero Arts

I’d Never Forget You a2z Scrapbooking Supplies and Hero Arts!!! Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you another shaped card and my last card as a Designer for a2z Scrapbooking Supplies. These two years have been amazing to me but I am leaving the team because I need to take care of some personal things but I want to let you know that I love my time sharing with you and creating with amazing products.

I'd Never Forget You a2z Scrapbooking Supplies and Hero Arts

To make my card I used a Circle Stitched Die Cut that I cut twice. The first time with the card stock folded to create the card base and the second using a single layer of card stock that I decorated and pasted over the base.

  1. Use the Spiral Petals Stencil and the Hero Arts Aegean Bold Ink to create the background with the ombre effect. I used a sponge to have better control over the effect.
  2. Stamp the flowers including on the stamp set Color Layering Hibiscus using three different colors of ink. For the base I used the Butter Bar and for the accent I used the Red Royal, colors included on the collection Water Lilies Layering. For the center of the flowers I used Hero Arts Moss Hybrid Ink.
  3. Fussy cut the flowers or use the corresponding die cuts, Color Layering Hibiscus Frame.
  4. Stamp the leafs using Hero Arts Moss Hybrid Ink for the base and Hero Arts Pine Ink.
  5. Fussy cut the leafs or use the corresponding die cuts, Color Layering Hibiscus Frame.
  6. Assemble the flowers and leafs on the top of your card using dimensionals and snail adhesive.
  7. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set I’d Never Forget You using Hero Arst Intensive Black Ink.

Love by Lia Hero Arts Stamp Set

You Make my Heart Smile with Hero Arts. This is the sentiment that I selected to create my card. It is part of the stamp set Love by Lia and I used a non traditional form in my creations. Welcome to another “Take Shape” inspiration sample.

Love by Lia Hero Arts Stamp Set

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here with you to share a card with banner or tail fish shape. I really love to receive cards with different shapes and this is sample that you can use and put easily in an envelope because it is a regular size. To cut this I used a double stitched banner from Peek a Boo Designs and I kept my card stock folded on top and below the die border to give my card form.

Then I cut a stitched rectangle on whisper white card stock and stamped over the right side one of the sentiments that came included on the stamp set Love by Lia. I love this set because the sentiments and fonts that are included on it are a great size and very useful. I pasted the stitched rectangle directly over the top of the banner.

Love by Lia Hero Arts Stamp Set

To complete the card, I stamped four little envelopes over decorated paper and fussy cut them with my scissors to paste over the card using dimensionals and snail adhesive. The final touch, two loops of red and white bakers twine.

All the images from the stamp set Love by Lia were stamped with Hero Arts Intensive Black Ink.

What do you think?  Please let know below.

COLOR LAYERING FLAMINGO SENTIMENT

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a sentiment that I love and that comes with a great stamp set Color Layering Flamingo from Hero Arts. This is the month of the sentiments and my card says it all! Take a look:

COLOR LAYERING FLAMINGO SENTIMENT

To create my card I used regal rose card stock for the first layer and decorated paper for the second one. To stamp the Flamingo image I used three different colors of pink inks. First I stamped the legs of the Flamingo using Soft Granite Ink, and with my MISTI i stamped the image twice.  Then I stamped the body of the flamingo. For the base layer I used Soft Pink Ink, for the second layer I used  Bubble Gum Ink and for the last detailed layer I used Rose Madder Bold Ink.

COLOR LAYERING FLAMINGO SENTIMENT

I fussy cut with my scissors the Flamingo and pasted directly over the decorated card base using OnPoint Glue. I added some pink and silver sequins and finally added a banner using one of the sentiments that came on the Color Layering Flamingo stamp set. This sentiment came in a different way but I edited it to have a horizontal line.

COLOR LAYERING GOLD FISH BY HERO ARTS

Color layering Gold Fish stamp set is another adorable set from Hero Arts. I said adorable because you will love change the colors of these gold fishes and how easy it is to create different effects on them. Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a Gold fish card!. Take a look at my card:

COLOR LAYERING GOLD FISH BY HERO ARTS

This month our challenge is to use sentiments and this stamp set includes a great sentiment for life. So with my design I wanted to create a special frame just for the sentiment. Let me share how I made the card:

  1. Cut the base using green card stock.
  2. Cut a second layer using whisper white card stock and emboss this one with Records embossing folder.
  3. Stamp the two gold fishes included on the stamp set Color Layering Gold Fish by Hero Arts using different colors of ink to each layer. For the base layer I used Hero Arts Butter Bar Ink, for the second layer or detailed layer I used Hero Arts Just Rust Ink and for the last detailed image I used Hero Arts Indigo Hybrid Ink.
  4. Cut the gold fishes with the corresponding die cuts or scissors.
  5. Stamp the foliage using Hero Arts Green Apple Hybrid Ink and cut with die cuts or scissors.
  6. Add the embossed layer over the card base.
  7. Paste the foliage using OnPoint Glue from Imagine and the Gold fishes with dimensionals.
  8. Stamp the sentiment using Hero Arts Indigo Hybrid Ink on a separate piece of paper and decorate the border with a blue card stock.
  9. Paste the sentiment with dimensionals too.
  10. To finalize the decoration add some clear skittles in blue color that I pasted with OnPoint Glue.

Easy and fun!

I decided to use Hero Arts Indigo Hybrid Ink ink to stamp the third layer of the image and create a special effect on my fishes but you can experiment with other colors. Don’t forget to share your creations with us and participate in our a2z Scrapbooking Challenge, the theme this month is Sentiments and you can link your project HERE.

LAYERING BUTTERFLIES BY HERO ARTS

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here with you. April is almost over and I want to finish my creative month using another color layering stamp, the Color Layering Butterflies by Hero Arts. This is a very unique set of stamps that you can use for all occasions. Let me show you my card:

LAYERING BUTTERFLIES BY HERO ARTS

I love to create CAS (or Clear and Simple cards) and with the Color Layering stamps this is a real passion because you can use a lot of color combos and different layers to create different types of combinations on your images. If you notice on my card, the small butterflies have only one image in common, the detailed layer, but the bases are totally different.  The set Color Layering Butterflies is composed by 10 different images that you can combine and integrate to obtain different looks.

LAYERING BUTTERFLIES BY HERO ARTS

The base of my card is Whisper White and I pasted a piece of decorated paper on the left border. Then I stamped the solid butterflies and the detailed images with three different colors of ink: Green Hills, Tide Pool and Orange Soda Shadow Ink Mid-Tone by Hero Arts. I only kept the body of the butterflies with a single color, Tangerine Bold Ink by Hero Arts – the same color that I used to create a splatter. The sentiment was stamped with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Etsy store. You can use the code Martha15 to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

Color Layering Flamingo, my favorite from Hero Arts

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you another one of my favorite stamps from Hero Arts. This is the month of our favorites products and my favorites are the color layering stamps! Today I am using the Color Layering Flamingo. Take a look at my card:

Color Layering Flamingo, my favorite from Hero Arts

I have to be honest with you: at first I thought that the layering stamps were very hard to use but I recently discovered that I was very wrong. Color layering stamps are very easy to play with and very versatile because you can exchange colors and exchange the layers to create different looks and results in your images. I definitely love them and believe me Hero Arts has the most beautiful and complete collection.

To create my card I used whisper white card stock and different colors of inks. First I stamped the two grass images using two different colors of green. I used Green Apple and Moss from the Rain Forest Bold Ink Cubes. Then I stamped the legs of the Flamingo with the Tide Pool Shadow Ink Mid Tone. I used the same color to stamp the first layer of the body of the flamingo. For the second layer I used Aegean Bold Ink and for the third layer Aquatic Bold Ink, all from Hero Arts.

Color Layering Flamingo, my favorite from Hero Arts

The sentiment was stamped with India Ink Black and to finalize the card I added some ink splatters with glimmer mist. I created a tiny black border over both sides of the decorated layer using basic black card stock and I pasted the entire layer over the pool party card base.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Etsy store. You can use the code Martha15 to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

HERO ARTS YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY

HERO ARTS, YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY

Hero Arts, You Make me so happy! This is my statement today and it’s on my card too. You can’t image how happy I was with all your comments about my last card using one of the Hero Arts stencils with creative medium, but for me, and I think for you too, the most important thing is that all of us really enjoy and love the Hero Arts products and the a2z Scrapbooking Supplies! Based on this I got my inspiration to create today’s card. Take a look at my card:

HERO ARTS YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY

This is a very clear and simple card. I used the Very Vanilla card stock for the base and the Glorious Petal Stencil from Hero Arts. I applied the ink with a brush to have soft look and obtain a delicate touch over the free areas of the stencil. I used two different tones of Distress Ink, the Blueprint Sketch for the center and the Seedless Preserves for the borders. On the middle part I mixed the colors.

HERO ARTS YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY

Then I used Hero Arts Intense Black Ink to stamp the word happy from the Happy Stamp & Cut Set from Hero Arts directly over the same layer and also stamped the sentiment ‘you make me so’ in a separate piece of card stock with the same ink to finalize the card. I added some blue sequins from the Hero Arts Ombre Blue collection.

The process was very simple and card is very clear. You can explore this technique using different colors or creating this in series or simply changing the sentiments. a2z Scrapbooking Store has many options of stencils and stamps that you can combine and use to create your own version.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Etsy store. You can use the code Martha15 to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

BOLD FLORAL STENCIL FROM HERO ARTS

BOLD FLORAL STENCIL FROM HERO ARTS

Bold Floral Stencil of Hero Arts is one of my favorites and today I am happy to share this card with you. Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here with a colorful textured card created with one of the most beautiful stencils from Hero Arts, the Bold Floral. Take a look at my card:

BOLD FLORAL STENCIL FROM HERO ARTS

Working with stencils is very fun and you can explore different techniques with them. On this opportunity I used Creative Medium Iridescent to create this effect that is more evident over dark card stocks.  The base of my card is Whisper White and the second layer, the one I worked over with the stencil, is Always Artichoke.

I secured the stencil with masking tape and I start by applying the creative medium with a palette knife over the free areas of the stencil using three different colors. I used Purple, Green and Pink of creative medium. I removed the stencil and washed with warm water and let the card stock dry naturally.

Using the die cut included on the set Happy Stamp & Cut from Hero Arts and whisper white card stock, I cut several times the word happy and pasted these to create a bold word. Then I assembled my card leaving a tiny border on the left and top parts and and pasting the word on the center of the card to create a big contrast.

BOLD FLORAL STENCIL FROM HERO ARTS

The process was very easy and the effect is amazing! You can explore this technique using embossing paste and to give color to it simply by adding a few drops of ink. Also if you don’t have Creative Medium Iridescent, you can use Pearlescent Embossing Paste and mix it with the inks.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can use the code Martha15 to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia with you! The spring is almost here but our challenge is not ending so I decided combine these two elements in one card for you today using Poetic Petals a Digital File from Hero Arts, maybe one of my favorites from the entire collection. Take a look at my card:

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

To create this card I used Cherry Cobbler card stock for the base and a decorated piece of paper for the second layer. I simply decorated this layer with a few loops of natural hemp twine that I finished with a tiny bow on the left side.

I printed the Blossom C from the Poetic Petals Digital File over whisper white card stock, colored it with Copic Markers and then fussy cut with my scissors. I cut an oval with a die cut and pasted the Blossom C over the left side of the oval. Then I stamped word by word a sentiment from the stamp set Celebrate Tag Stamp & Cut by Lia from Hero Arts using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. Finally I pasted the decorated piece over the base using dimensionals and added some black heart sequins.

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

You can find Poetic Petals Digital File  and more digital files like this in the a2z scrapbooking store where you can enjoy 15% off with my discount code MARTHA15. If there’s ever something you want that you don’t see in store, use the custom order button. It’s easy, quick and you won’t pay more!

Happy Stamp & Cut with Digital Hero Arts

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a hybrid combination that I made for my valentine, my dear husband! This is a hybrid card because I used a the Happy Stamp & Cut set and the Digital File Brush and Splatter on it, both from Hero Arts. Take a look at my card:

Happy Stamp & Cut with Digital Hero Arts

Red is definitely the color of love and following the challenge theme I used it for the base of my card and the die cut of word happy that comes include on the Happy Stamp & Cut set.

  1. Cut the base of the card. The size is 4-1/4″x11′ with score in 5-1/2″
  2. Open the digital file Brush and Splatters and select the image that you want to use. I used the Paint Brush Heart that is perfect for Valentine’s day and I resized it in 3 different sizes. I organized all the images on the right side of my card stock and printed this on my regular printer over whisper white card stock.
  3. Cut the second layer using  the printed Whisper White card stock. If you want you can use a decorated frame to create this layer.
  4. Give a few colors inside of the hearts. For this you can use ink, colors or perfect pearls, I used perfect pearls in Gold color.
  5. Cut the word happy included on the set using Cherry Cobbler card stock and white fun foam.
  6. Paste the word over the big heart and stamp the complement word using Hero Arts Intensive Black Ink.
  7. Paste the decorated layer over the card base using dimensionals.

Happy Stamp & Cut with Digital Hero Arts

Find these and other Hero Arts Digital Stamps in the a2z scrapbooking store AND enjoy 15% off your purchase of $25 or more using my discount code MARTHA15 – Also, be sure to enter our monthly challenge for your chance at a $25 gift card!! This month it is all things Red!! Any Shade of Red!
