Hero Arts Love Swirls Stenciled Wedding & Anniversary

Hello there,

July’s challenge theme – Sparkle & Shine prompts me to think of weddings and anniversaries.   And I am using this stencil, Hero Arts Love Swirls Stencil today.

Isn’t it lovely?  Now let’s take a look of my projects.

First up I made a CAS wedding card.  The pattern of the stencils reminds me of a bride’s veil, or it could be some details on a wedding dress.  So I went ahead and align the stencil on a white card base so that only half is on the card.  I masked the necessary areas and spread a light modeling paste over the stencil, lifted the stencil and sprinkled Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter over the paste right away so they would adhere.  After it dried I furbish the glitter by rubbing the stenciled area.  And shake off the excess glitter.  Then I heat embossed the sentiment in Brass.

Next I created an anniversary card.  I used an inking tool and inked only parts of the stencil.  I did one side first then move the stencil to the opposite side and repeated the process.  Then the sentiment is stamped in black and clear heat embossed.

Next I masked the stenciled area and the sentiment, and splatter the middle section with Glimmer Metallic Gold Ink.

Both cards are one layer, so very mailing friendly!  🙂  Btw, the Love Swirls stencil is on sale right now, It’s 50% off the regular price.  Get yours today.

Now it’s your turn to make something Sparkly and Shinny and play along our July Challenge.  Scroll down to get the details.

Welcome Sweet Baby

Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here and welcome to the A2Z Scrappbooking blog. I’m here today with an adorable Welcome Baby card I made for a friend who had a baby back in February. I am finally meeting her for the first time in a week and am so excited. I have so many cards made (I make them all the time, but never send them).

Anyway, on with the card… Using the adorable image from SugarTree Stamps Sweet Baby set I printed the image and sentiment, cut the image using my Scan N Cut and the sentiment with the Banner Die from the Hero Arts Ribbon Messages Stamp/Cut set.

The Ink I used is a combination of Hero Arts Passion Flower and Pink from the Clearly Kelly Miami Collection.. The ribbon and glitter dots are from my stash.

A Bushel & A Peck

Hello Friends Annie here with another quick card. So, Tell me did you ever hear the song I love you a bushel and a Peck… and a hug around the neck. It’s my husband’s favorite childhood song – his mom always sang it to him.

When, I saw the Farmhouse digital Set by Sugartree Stamps I knew I had to use it to create a sweet card.

image 0

I used the bushel of apples and the sentiment I Love You A Bushel & A Peck. I kept it CAS in keeping with this month’s challenge.

Bushel & a Peck

I printed out the image and sentiment. I colored the Baskets and apples with my alcohol markers; I then fussy cut them out. Next, I trim heavy weight cream colored cardstock and a 2″ piece of plaid pattern paper from American Crafts. I die cut my Sentiment with a stitched rectangle die. I then layered the cream cardstock onto my Kraft card base (4.25″ X 5.5″). Next the plaid pattern paper. I popped up the image and sentiment. For Finshing touches I used a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen in Gold for details on the basket, Sakura Gelly Roll Pen in White to add highlights on the apples and finally a few dots of Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal Drops in Pale Gold.

I hope to have been playing along with us this month Clean and Simple cards are a great way to get a few cards done in a day. Be sure to link up you project so we can all see your wonderful work.

You can find the Farmhouse digital Set by Sugartree Stamps in the Store.  Have a fantastic crafting day!

CAS Greenery Hugs

Hi,

Cindy here to share a CAS sympathy/friendship card.  Today’s card features the Hero Arts Holiday Greenery Edge Fancy Die.  This die is so pretty and so delicate.

On white card stock (trimmed to fit a A2 card) I did dry embossing on the top and lower edge using the Fancy Die and an embossing mat.   I mount this onto a white A2 card base.  Next I adhere the heart die cut (with white heat embossed sentiment and faux stitches) in the center of the card with foam adhesive.  Then I die cut using a different color card stock, trim part of the die cut (with coat of Perfect Pearl) and use to embellish the heart die cut.

Have you  join in our CAS challenge yet?  I hope I’ve inspired you to play along!  Scroll down to find more details.

Poetic Petals Card Set

Hello Friends – Annie here with another fun project. As we are nearing the holiday season most of us will be invited to parties and functions. A hostess gift is always a nice thing to bring and give. Or perhaps you are already working on your gifts for the upcoming season.

A simple set of small cards perfect for quick thank you’s or hello’s is a nice and easy thing to have ready to give.

I created this set of card using the Poetic Petals Digital from Hero Arts Poetic Petals Digital from Hero Arts  which is perfect for these small cards.

image 0

Here are the cards I created. I kept them simple to fit our current challenge.

First, I resized the flowers and printed them onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Then I colored them with my Spectrum Noir Markers (see below for colors). I then fussy cut them out.

Second, I cut 4 pieces of heavy weight white cardstock to 3″ X 8″. Score at 4″. Then, I put a circle color from Distress Oxide ink. (you can use any ink here) that compliments the flowers. This will provide a landing spot for the flowers.

Third, I placed foam adhesive behind the flowers and place onto the circle of color. Then, I  added some finishing touches with Sakura Gelly Roll Pen in Gold in the center of the flowers and some Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops. Repeat for all cards.

Now you have a full set of cards. Add some mini envelops and place them in a gift card box. You have the perfect hostess gift.

So, stop on over to the shop and pick up this beautiful digital download – I can’t wait to see what you create with it! Have a fantastic crafting day!

Hero Arts In The Study Clean and Simple

A2Z has a Clean and Simple challenge for September and I thought I’d use the lovely chair in “In the Study” clear stamp set might work out well.   The sentiment on the books worked out well here too.  Nothing goes better with a stuffed chair than a good book or two.  I drew a line under both stamped images to ground them and tie them together.

You may be tempted to add something to the white space, but don’t.  My post is at A Bit of This and That.

Seventh Heaven Digi Duel

Hi, friends, Chark here today with Arlene to duke it out…or duel it out…with each other. We’re both using the Hero Arts digi stamp set called Seventh Heaven. Basically, we each took the digis and made our own projects to pit them against each other. Ka-pow! Just kidding, no DT members were hurt in this duel.

Here are Arlene’s two projects…check her blog for more details. I love how this sun really pops on her backgrounds–they look like swirling clouds, don’t you think?

Arlene’s Supplies:

  • Hero Arts digital kit 7th Heaven at A2Z
  • Hero Arts digital kit Birthday Bash (sentiment) at A2Z
  • Elizabeth Craft Design Stitched Rectangles
  • QuicKutz Nesting Circle Dies
  • The Paper Studio “Pastel Marble” paper
  • Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss Midnight Blue
  • Vagabond die cut machine

And here’s my square card. I looovved the sun in this set and it’s already colored, so using it makes for a fast card. I added a sentiment from the set in the middle of the sun, printed it and adhered it to a square card. I added a ribbon from my stash and I was finished!

Chark’s Supplies:

• 7th Heaven Digi Stamps

• Ribbon and cardstock from stash

Hero Arts National Parks

Howdy! It’s Karen here with a card using the Hero Arts National Parks Poetic Prints stamp set. I don’t know about you but I love the National Parks. It is on my list to see as many as possible. The inspiration for this card was a card we got from someone with just kraft, black and white. I also decided to go with the Clean & Simple look which is this month’s challenge.

Hero Arts National Parks Poetic Prints

In the National Park stamp set there are 4 stamps. I chose these two because I have been to both of them. Also included in the set is the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley.

I started out by stamping the 2 images on kraft paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored the images using a white Prismacolor pencil sometimes heavy sometimes light coloring. After you color with the pencil it covers up the black some. I took a Copic Multiliner pen and a Memento Tuxedo Black pen and went over the stamped black lines to make them stand out. The Memento pen is a great one to have around to touch up spots that maybe don’t stamp all the way or over the pencil as I did on this card.

As you can see I put some mats behind the images and attached that panel to the card.

For the sentiment I used a stamp from Hero Arts set Set Sail and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
