I simply printed the digital download and cut the dragonfly I wanted to work with from the rest. Colored it in with some Arteza Real Brush Markers for a soft watercolor effect. Then, Fussy cut it. Next, I die cut the word LOVE twice – once from plain white cardstock one once from Rinea Ruby Glossy Foil Paper. Stack and glued the layers to create a chipboard word. I stamped the sentiment You More on white cardstock and cut it into a thin strip. I adhered all the elements on to card front panel which measures 4″ X 5-1/4″ I made from tone on tone pink pattern paper and medium gray cardstock for a nice mat. I then stamped a few hearts for a dragonfly trail. Finished it all off with some small gray and pink sequins and a bit of Wink of Stella on the wings.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I got a couple of Valentine’s cards to share. This month’s challenge theme is Mood Board.
There are many beautiful elements to choose from this mood board, but I am most intrigued by the scroll of color swatches on the left top corner. So I went ahead and created a watercolor panel with vertical stripes of the same colors (at the least very close).
Next I die cut the Floral Heart diagonally, I thought this is more interesting, and then white heat embossed the sentiment. Instead of using foam adhesive, I die cut two extra time the die cut in red card stock and glued all three layers together to make a thick die cut. I glued it onto a charcoal grey card base (color of the door in the mood board) and then embellished with sequins.
My next card is very CAS. I stamped multiple times the smiley heart from the Everything Smiles Stamp and Cut set on heavy weight white card stock, and watercolored them using the same colors as before, and hand cut. I line them up on a white card base and glue down, and added a thin stripe of the color swatche. Then I stamped the sentiment in black, drew a tiny heart inside the ‘o’ of the work ‘love’. Not sure if you’ve noticed but I score at 1/16 of an inch all around the panel to give a “finished look”. 🙂
That’s all from me today. Scroll down to get the challenge details and join in the fun!

I used the aqua colored constellation, the multi-linked star, and the sentiment. I cut off a point from the star to create a constellation shape heart. I used dark blue cardstock for my card front, layering white cardstock an1/8″ smaller. Then, matted the aqua colored star print onto dark blue shimmer cardstock. I did the same for the sentiment. The sentiment you & me is from Hero Arts DC175 Love Stamp & Cut Set.
For finishing touches, I added some tiny stars and heart sequins.

Only a few more days before Valentine’s Day. Have you got your Valentine’s Day card(s) done yet?
I’ve got a simple one to share today.
The focal image and sentiment are from the Hero Arts digital stamp set Words of Love. I resized and printed them on white card stock. I have an inkjet printer, so when I use an inking tool to apply ink to the candy hearts, the black ink comes out and it becomes cloudy (even after I clear embossed them), like this:
So I printed a second set of candy hearts, used my VersaMarker and go over where the black ink is and clear heat embossed it before inking candy hearts. They turned out a lot better. Here’s a close up.
See what I mean? I hope you enjoy my card, and I hope you’d join in this month’s challenge – It’s a Love Thing (use pink and/or red on your projects). Scroll down to get the details. By the way the sentiment is “I love you” in French.

Hi! It’s Sue. In a few weeks, it’ll be roses and chocolates day – Valentine’s Day. With Valentine’s Day in mind, I created today’s card.
I started with Hero Arts Words of Love DK031 Digital Kit. I chose the “floral love black” image. I opened the image in MS Word, re-sized it and printed it on cardstock. I wasn’t sure which markers would make the inkjet printer ink bleed, so I decided to use Prismacolor colored pencils to add colors. I found a matching blue cardstock to mat the panel. For a bit of sparkle, I added some sequins.

It’s Cindy here. My card today I created using a ‘new to me’ Hero Arts Scribble Bold Print cling stamp and a new ink alongside some oldies.
I first stampped the Scribble Background using my new ink (Tumble Glass) on white card stock and clear heat embossed. Then I trimmed it to fit the Egg Shell Folded Card (from the Earth Folded Card pack) and adhered panel to the card base.
Next on white card stock I stamped and gold heat embossed the letters (from Ribbon Letters by Lia), the heart (from Love by Lia), and the birdie tag (from Forever). I hand cut the letters and heart, and die cut the cup out of the tag using the Nesting Tea Cups Infinity Dies.
I adhere all the items to Scribble Bold Print panel using foam adhesive.
The ‘greater than’ sign is actually the sideway “V”. I thought this design and color combinations could make a lovely Valentine’s Day card for both genders.

Hi Friends! I hope everyones survived the holiday with full bellies and lots of goodies. Onto the next one!
I love the way this simple yet intricate card came out with a faux embossed background of Love, literally.
I used the word die from the Hero Arts Love Stamp N Cut set to cut out several “Loves” and cover the background of the a2 sized card panel. I made sure to start with the one I would use for my focal point and build out from there.
For my sentiment, I stacked multiple die cuts, with a foiled cut on top. To finish I heat embossed Happy Valentines Day onto some red cardstock, and added some Nuvo drops for a little pop.
That’s all for me today, I wish you all a Happy & Healthy new year, see you in 2018!

Hi there, it’s Angie here with a card for our December Challenge!
I think I really have a thing for stencils and this is one of my favs ever!
Hero Arts Bold Floral Stencil, used with Distress Oxide inks, Hero Arts Acetate for see through window, white embossing powder with Versamark ink, Gina K heavyweight card stock, and black fun foam. I made this background some time ago but didn’t do anything with it….then I decided to make a card similar to one I had made a few months ago for a DT post on a2zscrapbooking. (It was more CAS.) I usually prefer CAS designs, but I like the busy-ness of this stencil with the oxides and black contrast. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello, hello! How is everyone doing? I hope those affected by storms, hurricanes and floods are safe and sound as well as on your way of getting your lives back on track, houses and yards cleaned up and craft rooms re-organised.
I have now been in a new house for about 3 weeks and slowly but surely getting it to feel like a home rather than just a building with our stuff in it. My craft room is another story… I can’t seem to get the flow right or getting furniture to fit ‘just right’ and it’s very frustrating. I feel a good flowing craft room is good for the mojo, if the room doesn’t inspire me I’m out of luck.. Luckily for me I made the cards I’m going to show you today before we moved, in anticipation of not getting into the swing of things very quickly perhaps. Also, sadly the Hero Arts CM131 Purr stamp set is sold out in the A2Z Scrapbooking Store but you can use the ‘Request Custom Order’ button to contact the store owner who will happily order it for you. The coordinating Hero Arts DI366 Frame Cuts to the stamp set is still available in the shop though.
Right, well, it’s probably time to get down to the crafty side of things, isn’t it? For these two cards, I’ve coloured the kitty cats with both Copic and Zig Clean Color markers, one card is clean and simple and the other one has a bit of everything going on!
For card no1 I started out by die cutting a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum watercolour card stock, using a Mama Elephant creative cut called Femme Frames. It gives a lovely scalloped border and adds a subtle bit of interest. I also cut out a few masks as I was planning on piling a few cushions on top of each other for one of the kitties to stretch out on. Using MFT hybrid ink in Black Licorice, I stamped up my images with a bit of help from my Mini MISTI and the masks I had cut out. Above the cat I also stamped up the heart image and the sentiment ‘lazy days are the best’. It just fit perfectly with my lazy cat! I coloured the panel with my Zig Clean Color markers and kept the colours quite intense, there is hardly any water added to the colouring at all.
Once it was dry, I adhered the panel to a white card base using a piece of foam sheet I had cut to size as well as added a few clear sparkly sequins with glossy accents. With that, the first card was done!
Onward to card no2! I coloured the cats with my Copic markers and used the coordinating frame cuts to cut them out. Setting these two aside, I got that Mama Elephant Femme Frame creative cut out again but this time I used pink card stock. My colour scheme for this card was going to be pink and grey, and the card base was cut out, scored and folded. I nearly added the pink card stock to it right away but thought it needed a little something to jazz it up. Grabbing an embossing folder with fish bones all over it, I ran the panel through my Big Shot with it and was happier with it. I still thought it needed a little something else though so with a mini ink blending tool I dabbed Distress Oxide ink in Picked Raspberry to highlight the fishbones.
In the same grey colour card stock as the card base, I cut out a fish tail banner using MFT Die-Namics Stitched Fishtail Flag. On this I again used the Distress Oxide inks and a homemade heart stencil to create a patterned paper. I also found a little stitched label in white card stock in my big pile of unused bits and bobs, it was the perfect size to stamp the sentiment ‘I’d spend all nine lives with you’ and I added one of the kitties to it using some foam tape. The other kitty was added directly to the heart stencilled banner, also with foam tape and this kitty responds with ‘I meow you’ which is cut out using the little speech bubble that comes with the coordinating frame cuts.
Well, with that I will leave you to enjoy your day and I hope I have inspired you to get crafty soon!
Happy crafting!
