Hero Arts Love Swirls Stenciled Wedding & Anniversary

Hello there,

July’s challenge theme – Sparkle & Shine prompts me to think of weddings and anniversaries.   And I am using this stencil, Hero Arts Love Swirls Stencil today.

Isn’t it lovely?  Now let’s take a look of my projects.

First up I made a CAS wedding card.  The pattern of the stencils reminds me of a bride’s veil, or it could be some details on a wedding dress.  So I went ahead and align the stencil on a white card base so that only half is on the card.  I masked the necessary areas and spread a light modeling paste over the stencil, lifted the stencil and sprinkled Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter over the paste right away so they would adhere.  After it dried I furbish the glitter by rubbing the stenciled area.  And shake off the excess glitter.  Then I heat embossed the sentiment in Brass.

Next I created an anniversary card.  I used an inking tool and inked only parts of the stencil.  I did one side first then move the stencil to the opposite side and repeated the process.  Then the sentiment is stamped in black and clear heat embossed.

Next I masked the stenciled area and the sentiment, and splatter the middle section with Glimmer Metallic Gold Ink.

Cheers using Sugartree Stamps Mr & Mrs digital kit

Hi! It’s Sue. I have a new card for you. Its a card that could be used for a variety of occasions – celebrations, anniversaries, weddings, new homes, new boat. I kept the colors monochromatic, in line with the current challenge here at a2z Scrapbooking.

Here’s my card

I printed the “cups” digital stamp and the “cheers” sentiment digital stamp from Sugartree Stamps KN005 Mr & Mrs digital kit with my inkjet printer onto cardstock. Sugartree Stamps digital kits are available exclusively at a2z Scrapbooking etsy store. I trimmed the panel to just smaller than an A2 card. I added color to the champagne flutes using Copic markers C2 and C3. I had watched people use the “flick” technique with Copics and gave that a try. I flicked from the edges of the flutes, towards the centers. I started with C2, added C3 and went over that again with C2. I think it looks like the light is shining through the champagne.

Just Married Wedding Card with Sugartree Stamps

Hi Everyone, Kristina here! Wedding season is upon us isn’t it? I’ve got a card to share with you today using the new Sugartree Stamps “Mr. & Mrs.” wedding themed digital stamp set. I just love the getaway car image.

 

Teal is one of my favorite wedding colors so after printing out my image I used copic markers to color her in before moving on to the rest of the card.

I cut out some vine and floral images from Spellbinders, adhered to stick it adhesive so I could glitter. I glittered the die cuts with Elizabeth Craft Silk Microfine Glitter.

To finish I mounted the card panel onto some Hero Arts layering paper in pool, and added Nuvo Drop accents.

Partial Embossed Wedding Card with Hero Arts

Aloha friends!  Sorry for the delay, but the time got away from me!!  May is a chaotic month for my household with family from out of town visiting and my kids celebrating all kinds of end of year events.  There’s also wedding season coming up which is what inspired my card today…

I love background stamps and have a lot of older Hero Arts ones that I play with.  This one is called Hero Arts Large Flower Background, but I also like the one that’s currently in the store called Hero Arts Flowers for Coloring.  I think any background stamp would work nicely for this effect.

I started with Versamark ink and stamped on my card front.  I used Lawn Fawn Rose Gold embossing powder because it is the wedding couple’s wedding color, but only applied to part of the background inking to create a tone on tone effect that moves into a fun colored embossing look.  I didn’t want the whole panel embossed for a different…not quite so bold look.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Congrats Stamp and Cut die cut on glitter paper and then embossed on strips of the same colored cardstock of the card front.

I think the look gives it some elegance, but not too flashy for the groom to enjoy as well…haha!

CAS Anniversary card

Monica M with a look at a clean and simple anniversary card. I know there are some things like the ribbon and embossing folder that aren’t in the store, but you could easily substitute. Like I used an embossing folder, but one could just as easily use a stencil with embossing paste/ powder or even dies for a faux embossed looked and have wonderful results!

I started with my sentiment placement before embossing and trimming the card panel to size. I added the ribbon and bow to cover the separation the embossed and flat portions of the card. I rounded the corners of my panel and adhered it to the card base. To finish up the card I rounded the card base corners and added my gems to mimic half of a heart.

I love making a simple card like this somedays, it’s a nice contrast to inking backgrounds and detail coloring images. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Three Tier Cake with Produce And Seeds

Hi,

I am sharing a three tier cake shaped card today.  There is no need for cutting die nor template for this card.  I’ll show you a small tutorial on how to create the card base.  Just read on….

Trim white card stock into 4 by 10 rectangle panel.  Crease at mid point and fold into card base.

  

Use ruler and mark out cake shape and trim away the excess.  Horizontal interval from top 1 inch, 1 1/2 inch, and 2 1/2 inch.  Vertical spacing top tier, cut away 1 inch from each side.  Cut away 1/2 inch from each side for middle tier.

  

Mask and stamp various images as cake decorations.

After all the images are stamped, I colored in the berries with coloring pencils, and embellished with Nuvo drops.  For some shine I added Sprinkled Sugar on the strawberries and Wink of Stella on the raspberries.  For the cake top I stamped the strawberries on another piece of card stock, color, trim, and adhere to card.  I have also rounded the corners of the cake layers.  This cake could be for birthday or wedding, I left the inside blank until at such time I need to use it.  🙂

Oven Mitt with Produce And Seeds

Hello there,

It is a very special Monday for me, it’s my 24th wedding anniversary today!!  So it’s the perfect opportunity for me to make a very special shaped card for my DH.

I used the oven mitt in the Hero Arts Cooking Fun Digitial Kit as a template for my card shape (after I resized it using an image editing tool).  It measures 4.75 by 3.5 inches.

 

My process:

• Resize and print Oven mitt from Hero Arts Cooking Fun Digitial Kit on printing paper.  Use it as guide and cut out front panel and folded card using white card stock.
• Stamp cabbage image from Hero Arts Produce and Seeds  on scrap paper three times, trim closely and use as masks for next step.
• Stamp cabbage trio image using Jet Black Archival ink on oven mitt panel.  Stamp the first image, then mask it, stamp the second and repeat for the third.  Mask the last cabbage
• Align the small hearts from Hero Arts Love Stamp and Cut set on acrylic block, stamp on oven mitt panel in criss-cross fashion using Hero Arts Pink to Red Ombre Ink.
• Remove mask and color cabbage trio using watercolors.
• Stamp the sentiments in black.
• Add faux stitches using black marker.
• Stamp the Heart stitch from Hero Arts Love Stamp and Cut in black.
• Use inking tool and distress oven mitt with Spun Sugar and then Ripe Persimmon.
• Glue oven mitt panel onto shape card base.

Happy Stamp & Cut with Digital Hero Arts

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a hybrid combination that I made for my valentine, my dear husband! This is a hybrid card because I used a the Happy Stamp & Cut set and the Digital File Brush and Splatter on it, both from Hero Arts. Take a look at my card:

Red is definitely the color of love and following the challenge theme I used it for the base of my card and the die cut of word happy that comes include on the Happy Stamp & Cut set.

1. Cut the base of the card. The size is 4-1/4″x11′ with score in 5-1/2″
2. Open the digital file Brush and Splatters and select the image that you want to use. I used the Paint Brush Heart that is perfect for Valentine’s day and I resized it in 3 different sizes. I organized all the images on the right side of my card stock and printed this on my regular printer over whisper white card stock.
3. Cut the second layer using  the printed Whisper White card stock. If you want you can use a decorated frame to create this layer.
4. Give a few colors inside of the hearts. For this you can use ink, colors or perfect pearls, I used perfect pearls in Gold color.
5. Cut the word happy included on the set using Cherry Cobbler card stock and white fun foam.
6. Paste the word over the big heart and stamp the complement word using Hero Arts Intensive Black Ink.
7. Paste the decorated layer over the card base using dimensionals.
