Graduation Time from A2Z

Hey there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here and I am so excited. My grandson is graduating VPK next month, and I had fun making his graduation card.

picsart_05-15-11.48.11

I used the Graduation Cap and Diploma from the the Whoot! digital image set.  First I printed the images and cut them out with my Scan N Cut. I used Artist Loft Alcohol Markers to color the shadow of the diploma, the bow and the tassel on the cap. I used a retired MFT sentiment to stamp the Congrats Graduate, and an older Joy Clair stamp set for the numbers on the cap, all of which along with the sentiment were stamped using a Dark Blue Clearly Kelly Hybrid Ink from Hero Arts.

I used Stitched Rectangle dies from my stash to cut out the layers of Navy Blue and White to layer my panel. All panels are glued together using ScraPerfect’s Best Glue Ever.

I had a lot of fun making this card, and really hope my grandson likes it.

Welcome Sweet Baby

Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here and welcome to the A2Z Scrappbooking blog. I’m here today with an adorable Welcome Baby card I made for a friend who had a baby back in February. I am finally meeting her for the first time in a week and am so excited. I have so many cards made (I make them all the time, but never send them).

Anyway, on with the card… Using the adorable image from SugarTree Stamps Sweet Baby set I printed the image and sentiment, cut the image using my Scan N Cut and the sentiment with the Banner Die from the Hero Arts Ribbon Messages Stamp/Cut set.

The Ink I used is a combination of Hero Arts Passion Flower and Pink from the Clearly Kelly Miami Collection.. The ribbon and glitter dots are from my stash.

Sweeter Than Sweet Tea

Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with my first project for the A2Z design team.

For my project I used 2 of the images from the Sugartree Stamps set titled Farmhouse

After deciding which images I wanted to use (the mason jar of tea and the matching sentiment) I sized them on my computer and printed them with my HP printer.

I then used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut the mason jar of tea image, as well as a shadow for it.

I used my Artist Loft markers to color the image and layered my pieces using ScraPerfect’s Best Glue Ever.

My base is from a Hero Arts Birthday Card kit and thought the color was perfect to go with my image.

A2Z Scrapbooking Sugartree Digital Hug in a Mug

Sometimes you color some things, cut them out and they sit waiting for you to get some inspiration to continue.  I thought receiving new dies would bring me inspiration and THEY DID.

Very simply, I created a background of dies and staggered the cups up the smallest one and die cut a sentiment.  I’m a tea drinker and my breakfast tea is always in a cup or mug, so my sentiment has to be one for tea.

Remember to use my discount code at checkout – ARLENE15.

Hero Arts A Natural Christmas

Howdy! Merry Christmas to you all. It is just about here and we are winding down 2018. Boy does time fly. Today I have a card I made using digital images from the a2z Etsy shop. I had this on my mind after another fun coffee blog hop.

A Natural Christmas Digital Cut File

I started out by printing the background trees from the Hero Arts A Natural Christmas Digital Cut File on some Neenah cardstock. Then I sized a mug from the Sugartree Stamps Hug in a Mug digital kit.  I put the tree background paper back in the printer and printed the mug right over it. I cut out the mug by hand.

Then on to creating the scene. I sized the deer, the tree, and bird to fit on my mug and cut them out using my Silhouette Cameo. All of these are in the Hero Arts A Natural Christmas Digital Cut File along with a couple more deer, a sentiment, another bird and a branch. The deer is cut from a wood grain paper and the tree from a green paper with a very subtle pattern. The bird I colored with a Copic pen. The star is colored with a Gelly Roll metallic pen and the lights on the tree are done with Nuvo drops.

I forgot to mention… I popped up the mug using fun foam.

Thanks a Latte

Hi everyone, its Gwendolyn here, back to remind you to join us in this month’s challenge where the theme is “Give Thanks”. Link up your cards here and maybe win a $15 voucher to the a2z Scrapbooking store, AND if you use any Hero Arts or Sugartree products, there is a bonus prize!

I made a very simple card today, using a digital stamp from Sugartree Stamps called “Hug in a Mug”, which you can immediately download as soon as you purchase it at the a2z Scrapbooking Etsy store. It has 5 different coffee cup images and 8 sentiments! Don’t forget to use my code Gwendolyn15 to get a 15% discount on all purchases $25 and over!

Coffe to go wc bg

I first water-coloured my background on 300g watercolour paper using Ecoline liquid watercolours as I wanted a very vibrant look. I wet the paper thoroughly and just dropped in the colours of paints I wanted. While it was drying, I prepared my print file on my computer by inserting the image I wanted and duplicated it all over my page. I also prepared the sentiment I needed by just printing it on a white piece of paper and die-cutting it with Sue Wilson’s stitched rectangle dies. I then printed my coffee file on the dried water-coloured panel.

Coffe to go wc bg

I cut it into size with Sue Wilson’s stitched rectangle die and adhered it onto one side of a white card base and added the sentiment. So, very simple and easy to recreate! I hope you’ve been inspired by my card to join us in this months “Give Thanks” challenge and I look forward to seeing your cards in the line up!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great creative day!

Sugar Tree Hug in a Mug

Halloween Hug in a Mug

Howdy! We are now into fall which brings thoughts of Halloween, leaves turning colors and Thanksgiving. I love to decorate for Halloween and I am still thinking about all the fun coffee cards from last weekend so I combine the two. Here is a Halloween coffee card for you.

Sugar Tree Hug in a Mug

I started out making the mugs which are digital images by Sugartree stamps. I used the mug outlines for these. There are 11 different cups of coffee in this set, some with sayings, some blank and some with designs on them. I used Paint 3D and sized the mugs. I used words from the Hero Arts Spooky Labels digital kit and the little pumpkin from the Hero Arts Haunted digital kit to decorate the mugs. I printed the images on Neenah paper colored them using Copic pens. I cut them out by hand.

The panel right behind the mugs was fun to create. I used the Hero Arts Wood Floor bold print stamp to create the pattern in orange, purple and green inks. I used my Misti and stamped horizontal with the first color. I turned the paper so that the next stamp ended up vertical with the second color of ink. I turned the paper one more time for the third color for a diagonal. I like the pattern it made and it would work for many different situations by just using different ink colors.

The orange and purple layers are patterned paper from my stash. The green background paper is from my stash. I rounded the corners and cut the shapes using a Bo Bunny die.

The middle coffee cup is glued flat on the pattern panel. The other two mugs are raised with Glue Dots.

The Perfect Blend

Hi all! Its Gwendolyn and I’m back today to share a perfect blend I discovered when I mixed Sugartree & Hero Arts digital stamps! In my last two posts I showed you how you could use the Hero Arts “Painted Petals” digi stamp, and then the Sugartree “Hug In A Mug” digi stamp.

Well today, I’m going to show you how to use both of them together!

sunflower mug cu

I created a little video of how I edited the digi files to add the sunflowers and sentiment on the mug and you can find it at the end of the post. Please forgive me if its a little shaky as its the first time I did a video of my screenshot. Once they were edited to create a sunflower mug, I printed them on Nina Solar White paper and coloured them in with my Derwent Graphik line painters. These are acrylic paints in a pen and create a very thick layer of ink. I doodled in the leaves & coloured thsunflower mug main 900pix.jpge handle green with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator marker.

sunflower mug

To finish, I added a little Nuvo Crystal drops in the middle of each flower and used the tip of the applicator to create the bumpy texture to add more interest. This was a very simple card to make and I hope you like it! As promised here is the video I made to show you how I digitally assembled the images using the Pages app as I have an iMac it should be the same method with Word or Powerpoint.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you an amazing crafting weekend!

Hugs,

Gwendolyn

Hug in a Mug

Hi everyone. I’m back today to share a card I made with a digital stamp from Sugartree Stamps called “Hug in a Mug” This is a set of 13 individual stamps consisting of 5 images and 8 different sentiments to mix and match as you wish. I don’t use digital stamps very often but I’m beginning to like them more and more as I can change the size of the stamps to whichever size I like. These stamps even come in a second variation for no-line water-colouring with grey outlines instead of black.

stacked mugs gel paste cu

I started off by inserting & arranging my image and sentiment stamps using the Pages application as I have a Mac. I then did a print test on scrap copy paper to make sure the images were where I wanted them to be, before printing them again on Multi-technique paper as I wasn’t yet sure how I wanted to colour my mugs. I finally decided to use my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers to colour them. I then added clear gel from Lukas, to some parts the mugs, except for the blue part on the bottom mug, to which I added Nuvo’s Caribbean Ocean crystal drops gel instead.  I also added Nuvo gloss white crystal drops to the dots in the green cup.

stacked mugs gel paste ccu

It’s hard to see the shine & the 3D effect in the photographs, but in real life they look like porcelain mugs! I cut out this panel with Stamplorations “Crazy double running stitched” rectangle die and adhered it to a card base which I had surrounded with little dots using my Nuvo drops again.

So all in all a very simple card to make although you do have to let the gel dry, but I just made other cards with the other stamps in the meantime, and I’ll share them in my next post on the 25th of August!

Well I hope you like my card and I would love to know what you think of it. Have a great day!
