CAS Greenery Hugs

Hi,

Cindy here to share a CAS sympathy/friendship card.  Today’s card features the Hero Arts Holiday Greenery Edge Fancy Die.  This die is so pretty and so delicate.

On white card stock (trimmed to fit a A2 card) I did dry embossing on the top and lower edge using the Fancy Die and an embossing mat.   I mount this onto a white A2 card base.  Next I adhere the heart die cut (with white heat embossed sentiment and faux stitches) in the center of the card with foam adhesive.  Then I die cut using a different color card stock, trim part of the die cut (with coat of Perfect Pearl) and use to embellish the heart die cut.

Hero Arts CM179 Winter Silhouettes Tis the Season card

It’s Sue here today. I have another Christmas card. I love Christmas. It’s a time to re-connect with family and friends. Here’s my card

Growing up in Canada, I loved winter and skating, especially on an outside rink or frozen pond. For this card, I stamped the trees, silhouetted skater and sentiment from Hero Arts’ CM179 Winter Silhouettes stamp set. I added some distress ink (tumbled glass) to give the card a frosty feeling. For a bit of sparkle, I added Nuvo drops to some of the branches on the tree.

CASE a DT Challenge – Wonderful Stamp Cut with Winged Friends

kymona case wm 1.jpg

Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s over half way through the month of September!

I’m catching up of making some birthday cards for my stash and I thought I’d CASE Kymona’s card here from November 2016.

Kymona nov 16.jpg

I printed this dragonfly from the “Winged Friends” Hero Arts Digital set and cut him out with my Scan n Cut, then colored him with Spectrum Noir markers.  The wonderful is from Hero Arts Wonderful Stamp and Cut set.  I used a Gina K Designs card base – love the thickness and high quality of it!  I think this stamp and cut set is becoming one of my favorites ever because you can use it year round!  Please see my list of supplies linked below.

Hope you will join us in this month’s challenge – CASE a Designer!

Here’s another view of my card:

Poster Christmas Carols

Monica M posting today to share a card I made casing a card done by Cindy! I turned her fruity idea into a Christmas card using the poster carols set.

Cindy’s card:

a2z_20170522_TY_Berry_Much

My card:

postercarols

I used my mini misti to line up the sentiments and stamped them on white cardstock. Then I decided picked the mini icons to stamp under the words, since there is only one image each so I tried carefully to line them up. Once the images were done I used a brush stroke looking stamp to add the color on top of the black, alternating red and green.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!monicaa2zscrapbooking

I’d Never Forget You a2z Scrapbooking Supplies and Hero Arts

I’d Never Forget You a2z Scrapbooking Supplies and Hero Arts!!! Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you another shaped card and my last card as a Designer for a2z Scrapbooking Supplies. These two years have been amazing to me but I am leaving the team because I need to take care of some personal things but I want to let you know that I love my time sharing with you and creating with amazing products.

I'd Never Forget You a2z Scrapbooking Supplies and Hero Arts

To make my card I used a Circle Stitched Die Cut that I cut twice. The first time with the card stock folded to create the card base and the second using a single layer of card stock that I decorated and pasted over the base.

  1. Use the Spiral Petals Stencil and the Hero Arts Aegean Bold Ink to create the background with the ombre effect. I used a sponge to have better control over the effect.
  2. Stamp the flowers including on the stamp set Color Layering Hibiscus using three different colors of ink. For the base I used the Butter Bar and for the accent I used the Red Royal, colors included on the collection Water Lilies Layering. For the center of the flowers I used Hero Arts Moss Hybrid Ink.
  3. Fussy cut the flowers or use the corresponding die cuts, Color Layering Hibiscus Frame.
  4. Stamp the leafs using Hero Arts Moss Hybrid Ink for the base and Hero Arts Pine Ink.
  5. Fussy cut the leafs or use the corresponding die cuts, Color Layering Hibiscus Frame.
  6. Assemble the flowers and leafs on the top of your card using dimensionals and snail adhesive.
  7. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set I’d Never Forget You using Hero Arst Intensive Black Ink.

Love by Lia Hero Arts Stamp Set

You Make my Heart Smile with Hero Arts. This is the sentiment that I selected to create my card. It is part of the stamp set Love by Lia and I used a non traditional form in my creations. Welcome to another “Take Shape” inspiration sample.

Love by Lia Hero Arts Stamp Set

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here with you to share a card with banner or tail fish shape. I really love to receive cards with different shapes and this is sample that you can use and put easily in an envelope because it is a regular size. To cut this I used a double stitched banner from Peek a Boo Designs and I kept my card stock folded on top and below the die border to give my card form.

Then I cut a stitched rectangle on whisper white card stock and stamped over the right side one of the sentiments that came included on the stamp set Love by Lia. I love this set because the sentiments and fonts that are included on it are a great size and very useful. I pasted the stitched rectangle directly over the top of the banner.

Love by Lia Hero Arts Stamp Set

To complete the card, I stamped four little envelopes over decorated paper and fussy cut them with my scissors to paste over the card using dimensionals and snail adhesive. The final touch, two loops of red and white bakers twine.

All the images from the stamp set Love by Lia were stamped with Hero Arts Intensive Black Ink.

What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

Hero Arts Purring Kitty E6217 card

Hi! It’s Sue. It’s sunny here in Vancouver and it’s getting more difficult to stay inside to craft. I guess I need to find things that I could do outside. I love cats. So when, Hero Arts came out with some cat stamps, I knew that I just had to have them. Today’s card, uses a Hero Arts wood stamp, E6217, Purring Kitty.

Here’s my card

Isn’t the kitty the cutest? I stamped the kitty and coloured it with Copics. I was a bit stuck with what to do next. I created the background adding distress inks with ink blending tools, incorporating pale blues, grey and purple. It created the added interest I was looking for (so much better, in my opinion) than a plain white background. I found a complementary scrap piece of cardstock for the horizontal piece. I decided to add a die cut label to mat the kitty panel and popped it up with dimensionals. I decided to leave the card without a sentiment, so that I could use it for one of my cat friends – maybe as a hello, or get well or happy birthday.

My card is pretty much the opposite of the current challenge here at a2z Scrapbooking where the challenge is

We’d love for you to join us at our challenge. There are a few days left. Please remember that you need to use a Hero Arts product as your focus. If you’re looking for a place for Hero Arts products, check out the a2z Scrapbooking etsy store. When your cart reaches $25, use my code sue15 for 15% off your purchase.

Supplies

Hero Arts E6217 Purring Kitty

Copics R22, R35, W2, W3

Distress inks (shaded lilac, hickory smoke, tumbled glass, stormy sky)

Dimensional dots

COLOR LAYERING FLAMINGO SENTIMENT

COLOR LAYERING FLAMINGO SENTIMENT

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a sentiment that I love and that comes with a great stamp set Color Layering Flamingo from Hero Arts. This is the month of the sentiments and my card says it all! Take a look:

COLOR LAYERING FLAMINGO SENTIMENT

To create my card I used regal rose card stock for the first layer and decorated paper for the second one. To stamp the Flamingo image I used three different colors of pink inks. First I stamped the legs of the Flamingo using Soft Granite Ink, and with my MISTI i stamped the image twice.  Then I stamped the body of the flamingo. For the base layer I used Soft Pink Ink, for the second layer I used  Bubble Gum Ink and for the last detailed layer I used Rose Madder Bold Ink.

COLOR LAYERING FLAMINGO SENTIMENT

I fussy cut with my scissors the Flamingo and pasted directly over the decorated card base using OnPoint Glue. I added some pink and silver sequins and finally added a banner using one of the sentiments that came on the Color Layering Flamingo stamp set. This sentiment came in a different way but I edited it to have a horizontal line.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Etsy store. You can use the code Martha15 to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

Hero Arts Prayers

Hi friends – welcome back to a super simple card – TOTALLY CAS (clean and simple)! I recently received some 4 bar note cards and have LOVED using them for quick cards. And since we are focusing on sentiments this month, I thought this was the perfect size for a card truly focusing on the sentiment! And don’t forget to play for your chance to win; link up your card HERE!

I used the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely stamp set and only embossed the foilage with white embossing powder. I had seen something very similar on Jennifer McGuire’s Instagram account and knew it would be fun to try!

Hero Arts Prayers Stamp & Cut

Once embossed, I die cut ‘prayers’ from the center (uh…should have saved those inside pieces, WHOOPS) and sponged on Worn Lipstick oxide ink and Fired Brick distress ink. I embossed the rest of the sentiment on black card stock and mounted with dimensional tape, added more black cardstock behind the sentiment, swiped the top and bottom of the 4 bar card with Worn Lipstick oxide ink and that’s it! Super simple yet very striking.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join our challenge this month; you can link up YOUR projects HERE!

Hello Hello Hello with Hero Arts

Dawn here to say Hello, Hello, Hello…. following on with our monthly theme of Focus on the Sentiment.

I was inspired by a couple of different cards on Pinterest.  Took ideas from them and came up with this CAS card.

I used my MISTI to ensure I got a good dark black stamping of my Hello and the rest of the sentiment (from DC151 Hello Stamp & Cut– :  This popular Stamp set is currently Out of Stock at a2z Scrapbooking, however you can CUSTOM Order it in the Store. Just click on the REQUEST CUSTOM ORDER form on the store HOME Page).  I trimmed the panel and added a black mat.  Thanks to MISTI I was able to do some multi colour stamping on the feathers (from CM126 Color Layering Peacock. )  I used colours from the matching ink set. (AF394 Peacock Layering inks)  I fussy cut them and added.

Remember if you are in need of any items from the a2z Scrapbooking store  you can use code Dawn15 at checkout to receive 15% off your purchase of $25 or more. (before tax and shipping)  And don’t forget that we are on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.  Follow us on these different social media outlets so you won’t miss out on any fun promotions!

thanks for stopping by today and we hope you will join us with your project.
