Hero Arts Happy Holidays Christmas Mice

I’d say these Christmas Mice were saying Happy Holidays to you.  I grabbed a piece of 6″ X 6″ paper and cut it down to fit on the A2 size card for a different look to a holiday card.  I had a “Happy Holidays” panel cut a bit short in my stash that I wanted to use, so this is how I arrived at the design.  Add two mice and a couple dots of Nuvo and we’re done.  This looks great in real life.

Be sure to join in the challenge and visit the store for some outrageous sales at A2Z Scrapbooking.

Hero Arts Christmas Mice All Through The House

Image may contain: text

We must thank Kristina for the wonderful farewell graphic for our last challenge.  Be sure to visit the shop for big discounts.

Again, I’m using non-traditional colors to make a Christmas card.  I couldn’t help it, the “mice” made me do it!  In this case, it was one mouse, but I’m holding her responsible.  I cut the sentiment in two.  I know, I lose small stuff too, but I had to do it.  I think this is a fun card and I still think it’s cute after letting it sit overnight on my desk.  I don’t know if anyone else has to step back and look with new eyes at their creations, but sometimes I do.  I wasn’t sure if the tree scene would work.

Be sure to enter our challenge.  Remember, it is our last challenge forever.

Guest Designer May 2019

Hello there,

We are very please to present our May Guest Designer, Ilina Grouse.   She is a former a2z DT and is currently on several design teams including Hero Arts.  I bet you’ve been inspired by her work just like I have.  Let’s hear from her and see what she created for us today.

Hi everyone,

I am honored to be a guest designer for A2ZScrapbooking this month. This month’s challenge is flowers, so I used the Color Layering TIger Lily set and dies, Peonies stamp set and the new Flower Garden Fancy dies.

To make my card I started by stamping the Tiger Lilies using Soft Pink, Bubble Gum and Raspberry Jam ink pads, next I die cut them using the coordinating dies. Set them aside.
Die cut the Flower Garden fancy die using Pitch Black card stock. Stamp sentiment from Peonies set in Versamark on Pitch Black card stock and emboss in white. Cut to size.
Assemble the elements onto top folding note card made from Pitch black card stock. Once done add pink Nuvo Drops to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for taking time to create for us Ilina.  This card is just amazing.  To see more of Ilina’s beautiful work, hop over to her blog: Creativity Within.  Or connect with her on Facebook.

Sugartree Sentiment Happy Mother’s Day

Mix a bit of digi with coloring and this is one of the results.  I gave this card to my daughter-in-law for Mother’s Day.  A friend gave me the paper to color and I went for yellows and pinks.  Below the card is one of the panels in pink that I colored.  I didn’t think I would like the panels so well, but I love the gold outlines (which you can feel if you run your finger over the panel) and extremely smooth paper.

I usually print out digital sentiments in different sizes to see how they will fit on the card and either die cut the sentiment or make a banner with scissors like I did here.  A friend gave this to me to color.  She had cut three panels and I colored one in yellow and the other two in light pinks and dark pinks.  This is gorgeous in real life and all the panel needed was a beautiful sentiment.  Consider adding a sentiment to a complex background.

Sugartree Stamps Mothers KN003 Digital Kit Mother’s Day Card

Have you seen the new digital stamps by Sugartree Stamps available only at the a2z Scrapbooking etsy store? Well, I’m using one for my card today and it’s just in time for Mothers’ Day, which is quickly approaching on Sunday, May 13th. Here’s my card

I started by printing out the Floral Border 2 image onto cardstock, using my inkjet printer. I sized it so that it would be the front panel of an A2 card. I added color with Copic markers. For the sentiment, I printed out the “Happy Mothers Day” stamp onto cardstock, again with my inkjet printer. I made two tags, using Stampin’ Up’s Ornate Tag Topper punch. I added the sentiment, matted with purple, to the green tag. I matted the entire card panel onto black cardstock make the card panel “pop”.

Hero Arts Butterfly Fancy Die

Hello everyone!

It’s Donna here with a2z Scrapbooking to share with you another card.  This month’s challenge with a2z is “Getting to Know You.  If you would like to join in on the fun, you can link your project up here.   All you have to do is use any Hero Arts product which should be your favorite Hero Art Stamp Set, Ink, etc since this is “getting to know you” challenge and tell us why.

Here is my card, I really had a hard time figuring out what was my favorite stamp set from Hero Arts.  I have so many sets and could not just pick one.  I am using the Hero Arts Butterfly Fancy die and the sentiment is from the Hero Arts stamp set Hello Gorgeous.  Why did I pick these two, I wanted to use this butterfly die and I wanted to do something different.  I decide to use the die as a mask for the backgound of my card.

Here is how I put it together:

I die cut the butterfly in 80 lbs white cardstock, I used the die cut butterfly as a stencil and inked around it with Hero Arts Passion Flower.  I then used the butterfly that I used for masking and inked it up and used it for my card.  I die cut another butterfly from some solid cardstock and glued it on my card.  I added some adhesive in the middle of the butterfly and adhered it to my card. I added the sentiment with Hero Arts ink Grape Juice.  I used some Tsukineko Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz to give the card some shimmer and added some Hero Art Crystal Gemstones in the middle of the butterfly.

Closer look at the butterfly….do you see the shimmer?

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can also use the code “Donna15” to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge this month! You will have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store! One lucky winner will be announced on May 7th.

Good luck and please come back again soon!

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia with you! The spring is almost here but our challenge is not ending so I decided combine these two elements in one card for you today using Poetic Petals a Digital File from Hero Arts, maybe one of my favorites from the entire collection. Take a look at my card:

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

To create this card I used Cherry Cobbler card stock for the base and a decorated piece of paper for the second layer. I simply decorated this layer with a few loops of natural hemp twine that I finished with a tiny bow on the left side.

I printed the Blossom C from the Poetic Petals Digital File over whisper white card stock, colored it with Copic Markers and then fussy cut with my scissors. I cut an oval with a die cut and pasted the Blossom C over the left side of the oval. Then I stamped word by word a sentiment from the stamp set Celebrate Tag Stamp & Cut by Lia from Hero Arts using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. Finally I pasted the decorated piece over the base using dimensionals and added some black heart sequins.

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

You can find Poetic Petals Digital File  and more digital files like this in the a2z scrapbooking store where you can enjoy 15% off with my discount code MARTHA15. If there’s ever something you want that you don’t see in store, use the custom order button. It’s easy, quick and you won’t pay more!

I hope you will join us in the challenge this month. You have until the end of the month to submit your project for a chance at a $25 Gift Card, and the theme of February is Any Shade of Red!!!

See you soon with more inspiration!

Hero Arts – Sending You Love

Hello everyone!

It’s Donna and the challenge for this month is “Any Shade of Red”.  You can link your project here. Please be sure that your project contains at least ONE main HERO ART Product as the focal element!

For my card, I used different shades of Hero Arts red inks for my background.  I cut the heart from the Hero Arts So Sorry Stamp & Cut set and the “love” die cut and sentiment is from the Hero Arts Love Stamp and Cut set.  I finished my card off by adding some splattering of red paint and red sequins.

Hero Arts You’re So Lovely – Tag Challenge

Hello everyone,

It’s Donna here with the new challenge “Make It A Tag”!  Doesn’t that sound like fun!  I can’t remember ever making a tag on a card and this is fun….I hope you will join in on the fun challenge.  You have to use at least one Hero Arts image on your card.  You can add your project to the inlinkz  here.

I am using the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely stamp set.  The tag is the new Hero Arts Nesting Tag Dies.  I die cut the second tag out of white card stock, then backed it with black card stock.  I stamped two of the large flowers and one small one on my tag using the Hero Arts Raspberry Jam ink.  Oh my, how I love this color!  I then stamped the leaves using Hero Arts Pine and Moss inks.  I stamped the sentiment using Hero Arts black ink.  To finish the tag off I added some black splattered ink and rhinestones.

Here is my take on the card.
