Hero Arts You Are Appreciated

Hello everyone! Here is the card I made for my second monthly post at a2z Scrapbooking.  I was thumbing through some of my older Stamper’s Sampler magazines, specifically a “Catch Up Issue” and it reminded me of how we used to decorate cards with fibers.  I still have a HUGE drawer full of fibers, so I dug some out to decorate this card:

YouAreAppreciated a2z

I hope you can find some time to join me and all my talented teammates in the a2z Scrapbooking monthly challenge; the November theme is “Give Thanks.”  Can’t have enough thank you cards on hand if you ask me! For all the details on how I made this card please pop over to my personal bog, Art Without Anxiety.   Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my post! You are appreciated!!

Card Set with Hero Arts Safari Thanks

Hi Everyone, Kristina here today sharing my first project with my new Safari Thanks set from Hero Arts.
When I saw this set in the new release I knew it would one I could get multiple uses out of. It also has a coordinating die!
I love the solid images, and decided to use them to make my own backgrounds / patterned paper.

Hero Arts Safari Thanks

To quickly create patterns, I just set up the stamps, and moved the paper around in my MISTI until I had the whole card panel covered with pattern. You could also do this with an acrylic block, I just like being able to double stamp with my MISTI for a more bold impression.

After I had my backgrounds done, I trimmed them down to 4×5.25 and mounted on a card base made from the same color, with some shimmer on the edges from a wink of stella glitter marker.

For my focal point / sentiment I stamped the main animal image, with some lighter images stamped around. To achieve the lighter images I just did a 2nd generation stamping (stamp onto another piece of paper to get some ink off, then stamp onto the project). After the ink had dried, I heat embossed my sentiments with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, cut the whole thing out with some circle dies, and popped it up with fun foam!

Produce and Seeds Thank You

Hi everybody,

You remember we were taught to color inside the lines when we were young?!  Well I am grown up now, I can color outside the lines if I want!!  Well it’s not that easy, your instinct kicks in and I have to force myself to go outsides of the lines!!!!  LOL

I did a watercolor Produce and Seeds heart-shape wreath on my thank-you card.  I wanted a loose watercolor look so I painted outside the lines.  And I added some splatters so it looks more carefree.  You know what I mean?  😀

a2z_20171019_Produce_ThankYou

I stamped the images in Archival ink and painted with both regular watercolors and Twinkling H2O watercolors.  Added splatters, and embellished with sequins.

The Produce And Seeds stamp set is on sale right now in the a2z Etsy store.  Use my promote code Cindy15 to get an extra 15% off.

Grateful Paper Layering Hummingbird

gratefull paper layering hummingbird wm main.jpg

Hi there, it’s Angie here with a card featuring the new Hero Arts Paper Layering Hummingbird die.  I love hummingbirds so when I saw this new die set, I just had to get it and I’m so glad I did!

This card was quick to make, just stamped some flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts “Let Love Grow” set (in Distress Oxide inks) and cut a strip of black to mount the strip on.  I die cut the bird and used the same inks on him, added some black with a black marker, and added the Hero Arts “Grateful” rubber stamp sentiment on a scalloped oval die cut that was inked with the same inks.  I put it all on the card base and was done in no time!

Hope you will take the time to enter the 2 ways to win a $25 gift card to the a2z scrapbooking store!  Here’s the scoop:

1st Chance to Win:  Enter our monthly Challenge here!

2nd Chance to Win: During the month of March, we’re giving you a second way to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Store! Hero Arts Ring Bold Prints + Thanks

Hi friends! Hope you are doing well and thanks for stopping by! Have you had time to join our challenge this month – ANYTHING GOES? If not, you can link up here!

a2z-anything-goes

Don’t forget, you can save 15% at our Etsy store by using the code: MicheleG15! Don’t hesitate to snag some new goodies to celebrate the new year! 😉 Don’t see what you are looking for? Just ask, they do special orders!

I embossed this super fun Hero Arts background stamp with Hero Arts white embossing powder on some miscellaneous watercolor paper – really – it was just in my stash from a kit I received a few months ago. I then sponged on 3 distress inks – Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral, and Dusty Concord. I used the Distress Sprayer to add some water, let it sit for a bit then mopped up any excess with a dry paper towel.

I already had this THANKS die cut sponged and tipped with gold and I was bound and determined to put it to use! I embossed the additional sentiment on vellum from the Hero Arts Thanks stamp and cut set.

thanks-flat

thanks-full

I recently purchased these 4 Tim Holtz dies; I cut one from cardstock and used it as a stencil to apply gold paint and texture paste mixed together. The corner piece is another one of the dies cut from vellum.

I finished it off with some black and white striped paper from my stash, gold glitter paper, a cute little pre-cut doily already colored in purple and layered it all up and mounted with fun foam.

Thanks for visiting, we can’t wait to see your creations!

Hero Arts Acts of Kindness

Hi friends and Happy New Year! This month is an easy one – ANYTHING GOES; hope you’ll join our challenge for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate!

I made two super quick and easy Thank You cards; I still needed a few more for Christmas gifts but I’m ready to move on to bright and cheery colors!

Don’t forget, shop the Etsy store and save 15% using code: MicheleG15! Don’t see something you want/need/like? Just ask, they do special orders!

For one card, I stamped and embossed the little envelope with Hero
Arts white embossing powder, spritzed the paper and sprinkled on Lindy’s magicals, then spritzed some more – WOW, those are some vibrant colors. I dabbed them off a bit so they wouldn’t mix and become muddy.

The other card was sponged with distress inks, dripped on some water and once dry the envelopes were stamped 2nd generation in the same colors. For both cards, I used the Misti to stamp the sentiment multiple times in Hero Arts Intense Black.

Mounted to a scalloped square card base. I finished them off with the little envelope stamped on some Doodlebug designer paper, the heart was colored with copics and stitched to the water color panel.

Thanks for stopping by; we can wait to see your creations!
