Hero Arts Thank You Berry Much

I am back with another Sentiment Focus card using the Hero Arts’ Produce and Seeds set.

My process:

  • On white card base stamp sentiment and berries images from the Produce and Seeds set in black and heat emboss with clear powder.
  • Use watercolors to color the images.
  • Ink the top side of an embossing folder with watermark ink.  Place card base in embossing folder and hand pressed selected area.
  • Use inking tool to sponge Squeezed Lemonade very lightly around the stamped areas and edges.
  • Embellished with sequins.

The background is very subtle, and it’s not show up a lot on the photo.  So I guess you will have to take my words for it!  🙂

There’s still plenty time to join in this month challenge.  Follow the challenge theme and remember to use a Hero Arts stamp, digital image, stencil and/or die cut as focal image.

The Produce and Seeds clear stamp set is available at the a2z store, use my code Cindy15 to get 15% off any purchases $25 and more (shipping excluded) at check out.  If you don’t find the item in the store, just click the blue Request Custom Order button on the left side bar.

Hero Arts: Mixed Media Thank You Card

Good morning, Helen’s here today would love to share with you a mixed media card using Hero Arts stencil, stamps and die cuts.

I created the background with one of the Petals Stencil Pair and Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate. I added some gold acrylic paint on the plate, spread it with rubber brayer, added the stencil and added the cardstock on top of it. I rubbed it gently all over so that the paint would transfer evenly. And then lifted it up and set aside to dry. Acrylic paints dries quickly. Once the panel dried well, I die cut it with one of the Fancy Frame dies (Craftin Desert Divas).

I stamped some of the leaves from the Color Layering Grateful for You Leaves Clear Stamp with some fall color inks (CTMH), and then die-cut them with the matching Layering Grateful Leaves Frame Cut Dies. Then I die-cut the word thanks 4 times from Thanks Stamp & Cut and I stacked them together and glued them with glue pen.

Once I have everything ready, I put them together on the card 🙂 First the gelli printed background, then I arranged the leaves and glued them on the card, added the stacked die-cut sentiment, and I finished the card with some gold sequins.

I hope you are inspired to create a project and play along with our October challenge- Layer It. You can add you project here and by linking up, you have a chance to win a $25 gift card to a2z Scrapbooking store.

Hero Arts Yes Stamp and Cut

Hi Friends, Kristina here!

Next I stamped and heat embossed 3 thank you bubbles in the same card stock and white embossing powder.
I used foam tape to pop them up, and there you have it!

Most of the supplies used here can be found in the a2z scrapbooking store AND if you LOVE these stamps as much as I you’re in luck because they are both on sale {link below} but stock is limited so get them now and get 15% off if you spend $25 with my code KRISTINA15.

Triangles on Kraft

Hi Everyone,

this is Cornelia here today using one of those cool Hero Arts background stamps – the Triangle Background (CG662). You can make really quick cards with those. I also love geometric patterns – so this is just up my alley!

A2z 8-2015 c

As you can see, I heat embossed it in white and then took my Inktense pencils and colored random triangle in rainbow colors. Cut the Kraft card stock slightly smaller than my card base and added the heat embossed sentiment  – its from am older Hero Arts set – also a geometric one….called So Kind (CL672). Could not resist and added some bling from my stash.  As you see – quick and easy. I like it! Perhaps you do , too 🙂

Rainbow Chrysanthemum

Hi Everyone,

this is Cornelia here today sharing my second post this month for A2Z Scrapbooking.

Perhaps you know that we have a CAS challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking this month and perhaps you want to play along! I am also keeping it clean and simple with my card:

A2z 7-2015 (5)

I first inked up my paper in rainbow colors and then die cut it using the Hero Arts Chrysanthemum die (DI062). Glued it onto the cardstock. The sentiment is heat embossed and from the set Hello Sunshine. I mounted it onto a scrap piece of PP and added some of the petals from the die.

Today Was Awesome

Hi everyone – Jen here from Caffeinated Papercuts to share with you one of my favorite color combinations. Technically it’s a trio of neutrals, but when you put them together – my oh my! Better still, this is a quick card to make so you can whip up a whole stack of them for graduation, wedding, showers…any new beginnings you may have this summer. 😉

Whenever I’m stumped for colors, I love going back to the combination of white, kraft, and gold. Sounds simple, right? The results are so amazing!

2015-06-30 08.11.00

Are you loving it? I’m loving it. White ink on kraft paper is one of my favorite combinations, and the Hero Arts Unicorn Ink is the best I’ve found. Just look at that gorgeous background stamp! Cleans up like a dream, too – I simply rinse my stamps off in the sink and let them air dry.

For the middle sentiment, I combined two different sets – the Moments to Remember stamp set and the Thanks Stamp & Cut set.  (FYI, the Moments to Remember set is on sale…yeah, you’re welcome.) The Thanks set is where I got the little ‘awesome’ sentiment from – a little stamp masking and it was added into the bracket.

Since the Unicorn ink is a pigment ink, be sure to zap it with your heat gun a few times before heat embossing. Or simply get interrupted a million times by a hungry family, that works too…LOL

I wanted to turn this into a thank you card, so I added a little embossing on the inside, too:

2015-06-30 08.11.17

Here’s a breakdown of the steps so you can mass produce you’re own stack of awesome cards:

  • ink up your background stamp with white Unicorn ink. Trim your kraft paper to 4.25″x5.5″ and stamp. Zap it with a heat gun and/or let dry for a while. If you’re making a bunch, the drying time is no problem!
  • When dry, trim 1/8″ off the left & right sides for a bit of a border. Figure out your sentiment stamp placement, then ink up the ‘today’ and bracket stamps with VersaMark ink. Coat your card with anti-static powder, then heat emboss with gold embossing powder.
  • Let your embossing cool, then add more anti-static powder. Tape off the part of the sentiment you don’t want stamped, then stamp & heat emboss your ‘awesome’ sentiment inside of the bracket.
  • While you have your embossing supplies out, add the ‘thanks’ to the inside of an A2, top-folding kraft card.
  • For added dimension, trim down some craft foam to fit behind your stamped panel and adhere with super strong glue (I like the Tombow Xtreme). Foam tape works, too, but I like the foam for doing full panels – it’s more uniform and won’t sag. Adhere to the front of the card and you’re all done!

Thank You and You and You!

Hi everyone – Jennifer from Caffeinated Papercuts here with a whole set of cards for you today. Yes, it was one of those times when I started stamping and just couldn’t stop!

2015-05-14 09.02.46These came together so, so fast. Honestly the hardest part was me messing with the silver thread! You can easily create these assembly-line style and have a lovely stack of thank you notes (or anything else from the Stamp & Cuts line) in no time at all.

The layers are simple:
-start with a top-folding, A2 card base
-stamp your background stamp (in this case, the big Thanks stamp) onto a piece of 4.25″x5.5″ white cardstock, then trim 1/8″ off each side to make it 4″ wide
-die cut the lovely ‘thanks’ sentiment out of foil paper
-die cut some vellum circles, big enough to fit most of the sentiment and hide the glue for the thread
-assemble: base card, stamped cardstock, silver thread, vellum circle, ‘thanks’ die cut

Very thankful for you!

It’s Lisa here today, and I am very happy to be back from my medical leave and to once again be sharing a new card – created with some to the wonderful new Hero Arts products.  Today, I am covering for Zoey is who taking some personal time off after losing a her dear Grandfather.  Our deepest sympathy to her and all of her family.

Today’s card was inspired by our April Challenge where our theme month is “Stencil It”.   I started this card using the “Two Ways Arrow” stencil, along with some of Hero’s Gold Spray and a piece of Watercolor paper.    I adhered the stencil over the Watercolor paper with some masking tape, and the simply sprayed away.  I used my heat gun to too speed up the drying process and that put that piece aside.  Next, I created my card base with some “Sunshine” layering paper —  a great color for Spring and Summer.

I cut a banner strip from some Black Layering  and adhered that to the front of the card.   The next step was to stamp my “Sentiment” which is a new stamp that I love.   I inked up the stamp with Hero’s Black Ink and stamped it onto the “Stenciled” piece I had completed earlier.  I then Die-cut that pieced and using foam tape, popped it up off my card after adding three black gems.

To complete this card I used my Lawn Fawn Heart dies and cute the larger heart from the “stenciled” piece and then added a second smaller heart, cut from the leftover black layering paper.

All of the products I used are linked below and most are available now over that the a2z Store.   As always I’m happy to share my DT Promo code with you, LISAH15 which will save you 15% off any and all orders of $25 and up (excluding shipping)!!

I hope you’ll break out some of your Stencils and get to work on a project to enter our challenge.   Please be certain that your entry includes at least ONE main Hero Arts product  – Stamps, Dies, Stencils etc.

And don’t forget that you can find us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.   Be sure to follow us on each of these social media sites.   Any special notices and events can easily be found through these links!   We encourage you all join the fun~

Thank You!

How fun is this month’s challenge?! Embossing is my favorite! I especially love white embossing on Kraft cardstock so that’s the way I went for this card!

Thank You by Kristina BeagleI started by trimming a piece of Kraft card stock to 4.25×5.5 and stamping the
Hero Arts everyday flowers in Versa Mark.

I added some Hero Arts white embossing powder and heated until fully melted.
I ended up trimming the card stock down slightly on the left.

I colored some of the flowers in with assorted distress markers and used a
wink of stella brush marker to blend and add some fun shimmer

Thank You by Kristina Beagle
For my sentiment, I used the MISTI to stamp first with Hero Arts Orange Soda, and then
Versa Mark Ink over top so that I could clear emboss.

I used a circle punch to cut out the sentiment and mounted it on some fun foam, then
I added a small strip of Vellum and adhered my sentiment over top

I hope you’ll join us and play along! Just link up your project, using Hero Arts products, in the sidebar on the right!
You have until the end of the month for your chance to win a $25 Gift Card to the a2z scrapbooking store!
