Hero Arts Tag Die Cutting

Howdy! Welcome to a new year! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. They can be hectic but very nice with all the  family gatherings, decorations and of course delicious food.

Hero Arts Tag Infinity Dies

When I thought about a card to make I decided it would be for my brother. You know those sometimes hard to make masculine cards. So here we are with a safari theme which I think can work for a male or female.

I used the Hero Arts Tag Infinity dies to cut out, guess what, a tag. Then out came the Oxide Distress Inks. I blended 2 purples and 1 blue ink on Bristol paper.

I cut out the sunset circle using a die from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero June 2017 set and also used Bristol paper and blended Oxide inks. You can get this die by itself from Hero Arts.

For the tree and animals I blended some Black Soot Oxide Distress ink on Neenah paper and then cut them out using the dies from the My Monthly Hero kit. In real life they look like a chalky black. Note: Instead of the animal dies you could use Hero Arts Color Layering Elephant stamp set in the a2z Scrapbooking Etsy store.  Hero Arts also has several sets that include lot’s of fun safari animals, trees, sentiments both dies and stamps.

For the background I stamped with Quick Quotes ink using the Hero Arts Mud Cloth Bold Prints stamp.

Hero Arts Infinity Tags Nesting Dies

When you just want to make tags out of scrap paper, just grab your old die cut machine (mines a Cuttlebug) and use your scraps.  I made several boxes for treats for my crew at work and needed some tags.  I really liked the new Hero Arts sets of Infinity Dies and grabbed some for the Hero Arts Blog Hop in October this year.  I love them and thought that our challenge this month got me in the tag mood.  Anything but a card means tags are perfect.  Here we go with my boxes ready to go with Tags.

I made three different boxes and gave the large size full of treats to my work staff, with others going to well deserving (well, in my eyes) friends. The tag that is glittery is when I opened my Wink of Stella pen and oops.  Loads of glittery stuff all over, so one tag has a bunch of glitter.

I hope you can see these tags, weather permitting clearer photos.infinity-large-picmonkey-box-tags-12-20-16

The smaller boxes have the smallest tag sizes.  Use any Hero Arts sentiment or image and you’re ready to go.

Hero Arts Peace Ornament

Hi crafty friends.   Dawn here to share a layered card with you.  My card has a number of card layers.

Peace Ornament

I used some American Crafts card to make my main layers with some silver mirror card as mats.  The foiled layer is from a Heidi Swapp paper.  It is all the soft green colour (did not photography well!)  I had the clear embossed piece on my table ( mine is not a Hero Arts stamp but THIS one is perfect to use .)   I die cut the ornament (DC166 Merry & Bright Tag Set) from the silver mirror card and then die cut the PEACE (DC187 Peace Stamp and Die) from the green card and stamped the rest of the sentiment in Archival ink

NOTE: both of these  popular Stamp and Die sets are currently Out of Stock at a2z Scrapbooking, however you can CUSTOM Order it in the Store. Just click on the REQUEST CUSTOM ORDER form on the store HOME Page!)   This goes for pretty much ANY Hero Arts products that is still available.  If you can’t find it in the store, please feel free to ask!

Remember if you are in need of any items from the a2z Scrapbooking store  you can use code Dawn15 at checkout to receive 15% off your purchase of $25 or more. Boo Stamp & Cut for Parties

Hi, friends, it’s Chark here today to show my little gift bag idea using the Boo Stamp & Cut set. I love the Stamp & Cut sets that come with a few stamps and the corresponding dies…so convenient.

img_2348

I used the larger ghost die with vellum and then the small one with orange glitter paper. After I stamped the mini ghosts on the black cardstock, I added some of the face stamps. Fun! Some of the ghost stamps are used with first generation stamping, then some with second and third generation stamping, so I’d get a variety of looks for the ghosts.

Here’s a little hint—I used the White Unicorn Ink, which is a fabulous white ink, but it does take longer to dry, so don’t smear yours like I did. The little guy at the bottom looks like he has a headache, doncha think? 🙂 Here’s a close-up of the non-smeared ghosties.

img_2354

If you have the Boo Stamp & Cut, I’d love to see what you’ve done with it. If you don’t have it and want it, it’s only $10.20 in the store right now…look at all these cute face stamps you get with it.

il_570xn-1018283264_hcu6

And if you like the idea of a smaller stamp set with matching dies all in one set, you can get your own at the store, including this Antlers Stamp & Cut and this Merry Stamp & Cut, each costs $14.95. But, if you have a cart of $25 or more, you can use my super special code CHARK15 to get 15% off your cart!

Stamp & Cut sets are just one way to get stamps and matching dies together, we also carry the larger stamp sets paired with their matching dies. These cost a little more because they contain more and bigger stamps and dies.

Don’t forget to enter our October Monthly Challenge—Layer It! You could win $25 to the store.

That’s all for me today, have a great Monday!

Ornaments Card and Mini Tags

Good morning crafty friends… Helen is here today. I’d like to share with you an ornament card and some mini tags that I created using Ornaments Stamp and Cut set.

This stamp and cut set is not only for cardmaking, but also for other paper-crafting projects. You can stretch your stamps and die sets for different projects. The sky’s the limit!

ornaments-stamp-and-cut-00

To make the mini tags, first, I cut out the cardstock in 1.5″ wide and 5″ long and then folded it in half. Then I added the dies slightly off the folded edge.

ornaments-stamp-and-cut-01

Then I ran it through the die cutting machine. I did these steps for green and red cardstock.

ornaments-stamp-and-cut-02

This is how they look after cutting. You will have the folded edge uncut.

ornaments-stamp-and-cut-03

After all the cardstock was cut, I started stamping the matching the stamp on each shape with VersaMark ink pad. Then I added some Gold Embossing Powder and heat set them with a craft heater.

You also can reverse the steps if you feel more comfortable with stamping the images first then cutting them out.

I used my WRMK hole puncher to add the hole for strings. I used some of the ornaments on the card with natural twine for the string on the card. Then I embellished them with some gems. I cut out a couple labels out of the matching cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment that comes from the the same stamp set.

Some of them I use as mini tags. They are super cute 🙂 I hope this projects can give you some inspirations to play along with our monthy challenge: Make It A Tag. By linking up your projects, you have a chance to win $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store.

And, whenever you shop for Hero Arts products and crafting supplies at a2z Scrapbooking store, you can use this code Helen15 , to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more (exclude shipping).

Digital Kit: Holiday House Tags

Hello crafty friends! It’s Helen here 🙂 Today I am sharing a Christmas project. I know Christmas is about 16 more weeks but I have been working on cards, tags and gifts.

This morning, I would like to share with you tags I made with Digital Kit – Holiday Houses. It is digital download including digital brush stamps, papers and sentiment in colors and black.

holldayhouse-tags-helengullett

I printed them in Letter size white cardstock. In order to get all the images and sentiments in one page, I used Photoshop to do it. I created new file with Letter size (8 inch x 11 inch). Then I opened all the PNG files. After that, I copied and pasted the images one by one and resized them to fit in the page.

Screen Shot 2016-09-02 at 10.58.20 AM

With all images in one place, I printed it. I used micro-tip scissors to cut out the houses and paper trimmer to cut out the sentiments.

I put them together on the tags that I cut out with my diecutting machine. I used liquid adhesive to adhere the sentiment first, then I used 3D foam tape to add the houses to give them some dimension.

I saw that they need some extra blings 🙂 So, I added some of the Stickles glitter all over the tag to create snowflake look background and also on the roof.

I love how they turned out and the best thing about using Hero Arts digital kit one of the quick way to mass produce tags and cards.

I hope you are inspired today to create projects with Hero Arts digital kits. You can find various gorgeous Hero Arts digital Kits at a2z Scrapbooking Store. You can save 15% of your $25 order or more when you use this code: Helen15 when you check out.

THANK YOU so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous day!

Boo Stamp and Cut

Hi, friends, it’s Chark today. I’m so excited that Halloween is on its way that I had to share my Boo Stamp and Cut tag that I made. Love this new stamp and die set, as you can see, I only used the die and the word Boo and didn’t use the faces or ghost stamps. That’ll be another project!

IMG_1949

I die cut the large ghost from black cardstock, stamped the word “boo” on it in Unicorn White ink and added some craft foam (also die cut) to make a shaker card.

IMG_1955

The acetate was from an acetate notecard trimmed down and some of the sequins are actually nail art glitters from the dollar store. They came in cute little bottles and I knew they’d make good confetti for shaker cards…plus they were $1!

DC189-500x500

I added bright green paper behind the tag and the striped ribbon to finish it off. This will be cute on a little Halloween gift bag I think.

Hope you’ll join us for the new September Challenge, Make it a Tag, with your Hero Arts stamps, dies, stencils or digis (there are great Halloween digis in the store) because you could win a $25 gift code to the store!

Happy Friday!

Lets get started:

DSCN0114

I love how the pink and gold feathers are peeking out from the side of the card.  So very pretty and adds dimension to the card.

DSCN0480

This card caught my eye because of the colors Kelly used to create it.  So vibrant and rich.

DSCN0493

Yes, how could you not love this card.  Doesn’t that hello look like its popped off the flower stem?  It isn’t .  Super cool.  I love the edge of the front panel.  So unique and different.

The CASE:

Thanks (CASE)

I created a blue watercolor panel to add to the side of my card front like Kelly’s first card. The blue is so vibrant and rich, which is the look I was going for. Then I die cut a tag and sentiment like Kelly’s second card. I love the side panel cut off that I had to create that as well. I added some white dots along side boarder for an added touch.  CASEing Kelly was fun for sure!!

Take a closer look:

Thanks close up (CASE)

Christmas Tag

With Fall coming to the Northern Hemisphere and Spring in the Southern Hemisphere that means Christmas is just round the corner.  And now’s the time to visit our store at A2Z Scrapbooking and get some new items to start on your cards.   All the Hero Arts Christmas stamps, dies and stencils are in stock.

Today I have a card that uses Hero Arts Merry & Bright Tag Die and Stamp Set.

Tag card

I die cut the Tag from some American Crafts silver card stock.  The sentiment from the set was stamped with black ink and clear embossed.   Here I have used a bow die from Cheery Lyn but am pleased to let you know Hero Arts has an awesome bow die which we are stocking at A2Z.

Don’t forget that our challenge this month is all about Fall.  Hope you can join us, there is a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store.

Mini Dressed-Up Jar

Hi, friends, it’s Chark here again to share a little glass jar I found at the craft store and then fancied up a bit. I found these awesome tags made of copper metal at the Dollar Spot at Target and scooped them up. If your Target doesn’t carry them, you can use copper paper and cut it in a tag shape to mimic the effect.

IMG_7755

il_570xN.603309508_km12I wanted to add some glam to the tag, so I heat embossed with my star stencil and glass bead embossing paste. It dries clear and sparkly and it has more texture than regular embossing paste, thanks to the glittery bits.

Here’s a close-up view of the embossing.

IMG_7725

For the paper label, I mixed clear embossing paste with Copper Pearl Ex, which I love but don’t use often enough. Then I used an old gift card to smooth it through the star stencil and let it dry. As it dries, it becomes a lovely shimmery copper color. I just trimmed the paper and used roller adhesive to affix it to the jar. Now it’s ready to fill with a little candy or money. I think filling it with copper pennies would be fab. I also thought of filling it with sequins—wouldn’t that be fancy?!

Hope you’ll join in our August Challenge here for a chance to win $25 to the store! Break out your Hero Arts products (or get some new goodies at the store, including exclusive Hero Arts digital stamps) and think “texture.”

p.s. did you know that we are on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook?   If you haven’t done so already, please follow us on these different social media outlets!!  You don’t want to miss out on any fun promotions!!

Have a good day!
