One Layer Masking with Hero Arts Wishing Well

Hi Everyone! Kristina here playing with the Hero Arts Wishing Well stamp set.
I’ve made a few cards with this one here and here, but I wanted to try out using the images in this set to
create a single layer scene with some masked ink blending. Here’s what I came up with.

Hero Arts Wishing Well

To start I just stamped all of the images onto some masking paper and set aside, knowing I would need masks in the end.
Next I arranged my stamps how I wanted them, and carefully pulled them onto my MISTI layer by layer, stamping the images I wanted in front first. After all of the images were stamped and masked I used a cloud stencil and clarity brushes to create the background, and then blended some green ink onto the bottom for grass. I splattered some wink of stella across the sky for some sparkle. Gotta have sparkle. After removing the masks, I colored my images with copic markers, added a few pre-cut and colored images I had leftover from a previous project, and stamped and embossed a sentiment.

Here’s a close up

1 Stamp Set, 1 Design, 2 Cards

Hello Crafty friends, it is Helen here today would love to share with you my cards using 1 stamp set and 1 design, but 2 different cards. Today, I am using the Color Layering – Deer stamp, from the new Holiday 2016 Catalogue.

On this first card, I stamped the Deer on a white cardstock with Distress Mini Ink Pad set 3, and then fussy cut it. But you always  can cut it out with the matching frame die set. Then I added it on the card with wood embossed background with 3D foam tape for some dimensional. I heat-embossed the sentiment on a black cardstock and then added it on the card with 3D foam tape. I added a piece of gold glitter ribbon for extra accent on this CAS card.

On the second card, it is simply watercolored, CAS and one layer card. For the card base, I used Canson Watercolor paper 140 lbs. And I stamped the deer with Distress Mini Ink Pad Set 3 and sprayed little bit of water on the inked stamp every time I stamped to create the faux – watercolor look on the deer.

And then I added some Broken China distress ink with wet brush to create the sky, and added some Vintage Photo distress ink with wet brush for the ground where the deer sit on. I used my craft heat gun to dry the panel completely before stamping.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and I added some leaves around the deer that I stamped with the new Hero Arts – Ombre Autum Ink Pad.

On both cards, I only use 1 stamp set and 1 design. Also, with Color Layering stamp sets, you can create gorgeous depth of colors and dimension to the image even though it is a one-layer card.

So, check out all the Color Layering stamp sets and their matching frame die sets at a2z Scrapbooking store. You can get 15% OFF your order of $25 when you use this code Helen15 at check out.

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Giveaway

Hi, friends, Chark here today with a simple stamped card using the You’re So Lovely Flower Stamps. I wanted a stamp with lots of surface area so I could use the new Bold, Hybrid Hero Arts inks.

img_2096

I used Strawberry, Tangerine, Pine and the Ombre Neon Chartreuse to Blue. I did some masking, which worked fine for putting all the leaves in the background. The center of the flowers is the new Nuvo Ruby Slippers Glitter Drops. Here they are in close up.

I’m not a huge ink hoarder but I do looove the richness of the Hybrid Inks.

Happy Monday!
