Hero Arts Happy Holidays Christmas Mice

I’d say these Christmas Mice were saying Happy Holidays to you.  I grabbed a piece of 6″ X 6″ paper and cut it down to fit on the A2 size card for a different look to a holiday card.  I had a “Happy Holidays” panel cut a bit short in my stash that I wanted to use, so this is how I arrived at the design.  Add two mice and a couple dots of Nuvo and we’re done.  This looks great in real life.

The Most Wonderful Time – Hero Arts Holiday Card

Hero Arts The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hi Friends! Back today with more Holiday inspiration. Winter will be here before you know it so keep cranking out those Christmas cards! I really wanted to use this gorgeous sentiment stamp. I don’t usually buy wood block stamps, but I had to have this one.

For my background, I repeatedly stamps holly from the Hero Arts Color Layering Holly set, using gold embossing for the final layer, and outlining in a very light blue.

For my sentiment I used a stamp-a-majig to position and stamp in versamark ink, before heat embossing with white embossing powder. Lastly, I mounted everything on same dark red cardstock.

Holiday Ornaments Stamp & Cut

A

a2z oct 30 wm 1.jpg

Hi there it’s Angie here today with some inspiration for our October “Watercolor” challenge!  I watercolored some watercolor paper with Distress Inks and Kuretake watercolors then die cut the ornaments from Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments Stamp and Cut set.  The sentiment is from the same set.    I used a large plaid background stamp (very old Hero Arts rubber stamp) on top of the watercolored paper for some pattern.  The large wood background stamp is from Joy Clair stamps in light beige ink.   I used two strips of the watercolored paper on the sides then cut the top panel and another black panel with MFT edge die and layered them.   Lastly I added some glitter Nuvo drops to the ornaments for extra shine and two die cut bows from the same Hero Arts Stamp and Cut set.

I can’t wait to see what you enter in this months challenge!  Be sure to read about the changes to our challenge – you can use any products and we have several ways to win.  Check out the details HERE!

And remember the rules have changed for the challenge, you can use any products to enter!

I made another card with the left over ornaments.  The white top fold is slimmer than the rest of the card so I could add some watercolored strips to the inside of the card and still see them when the card is closed.  The little red bows are actually red raffia from my stash adhered with glue dots.  I forgot to draw in the strings at the top with a fine tip marker before I took these pictures – oops!  So I added them later!
