Hero Arts Happy Holidays Christmas Mice

I’d say these Christmas Mice were saying Happy Holidays to you.  I grabbed a piece of 6″ X 6″ paper and cut it down to fit on the A2 size card for a different look to a holiday card.  I had a “Happy Holidays” panel cut a bit short in my stash that I wanted to use, so this is how I arrived at the design.  Add two mice and a couple dots of Nuvo and we’re done.  This looks great in real life.

It’s getting down to the wire for mailing your holiday cards, good news is we have a ton of sale stuff in the store you can use! I made this card using mostly all sale stuff, and you can replicate very inexpensively!

I started with a white card front trimmed to 4×5.25 and using some masking paper and a circle die to create a window for ink blending. Before blending, I stamped my bear, masked him off, then stamped the owl and mouse. I masked them off, and masked off an area for the ground, and began ink blending the pink area, shifted my ground mask to the sky, and blended onthe blue. When everything was blending I removed all the masked, and copic colored my images.

For my sentiment I used a fun Hero Arts wood stamp, stamped in versafine and clear heat embossed.
To finish, I embellished with with assorted Nuvo drops, white gel pen, wink of stella and a few silver snowflakes!

Hero Arts Holiday Animals + WCD Giveaway Winner!

Hi Everyone, Kristina here today playing along with our Watercolor Challenge for the month of October.
I decided to pull out the Hero Arts Holiday Animals stamps and dies and go to town.

 

 

I started with a a2 sized panel of watercolor paper, and did a wash of 3 different colors of ranger distress ink. While that dried I cut out a few snowy hillsides, and stamped and colored and cut out a bunch of images from the Hero Arts Holiday Animals set.
After my watercolor panel was completely dry, I stamped a few trees from the set to stage a background, and then arranged my images, and lastly stamped my sentiment and embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I trimmed everything down and mounted on a regular a2 sized note card.

Holiday Tags with Hero Arts Holiday Stamps

Hi Friends! Kristina here with a project for our “Anything but a Card” challenge this December.
My inspiration today comes from Kay Miller and the 12 tags of Christmas on the Ellen Hutson blog. I’ve never been one to do many gift tags, but her’s looks so enticing I thought I’d giving it a go.

I cut out a base circle with a stitched circle die, and then an additional circle one size smaller from two colors of cardstock. I used versamark ink to create a tone-on-tone simple background. You could also use pattern paper. I cut each circle in half and peiced them together on the background, before layering on a die cut sentiment, a glittery snow flake, a Hero Arts Snowy Tree and the cute little owl from Hero Arts Holiday Animals. He was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I was ready to give up on those markers until I saw Jennifer McGuires favorite things video for paper, which turned me on to Bristol Smooth paper and the rest is history. I like the markers now 🙂

Hero Arts Holiday Animals on Wood Slices

 

Hi stampers!

Ilina’s here today with a holiday project for you. I am slowly getting in Christmas mood even though we still have 80 F weather here in Atlanta. I decided to make some wood slices that can be used as ornaments or magnets. I used the Hero Arts intense black ink pad to stamp my images onto the wood block. Then I colored the everything using Prismacolor pencils, and to finish it off I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Next you can drill hole on the top to use it as an ornament or you can add magnet on the back to use it as a magnet.

Hero Arts Holiday Animals – One Layer Card

 

Hi Everyone, Kristina here featuring the new Hero Arts Holiday Animals set! With so many fun images in this set I wanted to create a little scene to use as many of the stamps as possible! I thought it would be cute to have some of the animals getting ready to decorate the tree!

I stamped all my images and colored with copics, topped it off with some wink of stella (which I can never manage to capture in photo). I used a grey c3 copic to create a simple snowy landscape, and stamped my sentiment overtop.
