Hero Arts Hello in Pink to Red Ombre

Hi friends, welcome back!

I made this uber CAS (clean and simple) card – so quick, so easy and just think of all the color combos you can use! Wouldn’t a set of these cards in a variety of colors be a beautiful gift? Since we are using shades of red this month, I used two ink pads – Hero Arts Intense Black and Hero Arts Pink to Red Ombre. I very lightly sponged on some pink at the bottom and let it fade out towards the top.

I stamped random flowers and leaves from two stamp sets – For You Flower and You’re So Lovely. I used two layers of micropore tape for my baseline of stamping but some of the ink still seeped through; that’s okay, it’s handmade and not every single card can be perfection, RIGHT! I added a few pops of black to compliment the sentiment and finished it off with 3 enamel accents. So easy peasy!

I, just like everyone else, have been inspired by some recent ombre shading using a stencil inspired by Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire (just search YouTube, you’ll find their videos. :D). I used some MFT Steel Gray card stock as my base and sponged on the gray/black inks in THIS set over the Bold Floral stencil. I die cut the LOVE multiple times from Hero Arts red card stock and layered together; sponged on some Unicorn ink on the top portion of the top LOVE word and once dry, coated in glossy accents. I embossed the small sentiment on vellum, adhered it all together on a red card base and added a black enamel heart.

CAS Antique Rose

Hi Dawn here.   Are you enjoying our Clean and Simple cards this month?  This is one of my favorite genre of cards.   So here’s another one to inspire you.

Hero Arts Antique Rose

I recently look an Online Card Class called Clear and Sheer… which included using Vellum on your cards.  I decided to try it out with my Antique Rose Stem K6136 by white embossing it onto the vellum.  I coloured the back with Zig Markers and then trimmed it to fit onto the die cut panel.  I used some Spray vellum adhesive to stick it down.  The sentiment comes from the Stamp and Die set – Stamp and Cut Yes DC132.

Scandinavian Christmas

Hey there everyone – Jennifer here from Caffeinated Papercuts to help you get a jump-start on your holiday cards!

Yes, I said holiday cards…but let’s face it, if we don’t start them now, they’ll never be done in time for December. At least that’s how it goes around here!

When the beautiful Scandinavian Holiday stamp set came out, I couldn’t put it in my shopping cart fast enough. See, I married a Viking, so we have the real candle holders that match this set grace our table every holiday. So lovely, and we always look forward to seeing what critter a new family member will receive!

I inked up the horses in Red Royal Shadow Ink to match our set and added some shine to the candles with gold Stickles. The sentiment is from an older set and I used Cup o’ Joe Shadow Ink to match the card base I created.

I also went over the detailing on the design with a white gel pen to add a little more interest to this one-layer wonder. You see a bit of blue there as I was drawing on how ours look again. So fun to personalize cards this way!

Of course, I couldn’t stop at just one…

Hehehe, all I changed up was the candle colors from card to card. Makes it fun!

If you’re not quite ready to think about the holidays yet, be sure to embrace all things Fall and play along with our current monthly challenge!
