Hi everyone and Happy Halloween!

I am sharing a Halloween card I made using a non traditional Halloween stamp set from Hero arts called Dress up. This is a wonderful stamp set and can be used for so many occasions. It can be ordered over at A2ZScrapbooking along with many other Hero Art sets. 

To turn this into a Halloween card, I cut out the dress using some spider web paper and then added some spiders using some remnant rubs.  The other embellishments are also remnant rubs.

Holiday Wishes

Hi everyone! I have started my Christmas creations as most of you have and I wanted to share with you a card I created using layered Christmas Trees stamps. This stamp set can be ordered in the shop, but be sure to check out some of the other wonderful Christmas sets available.

The color layering is so easy with this set, it makes a perfect Christmas tree.  For my border, I used some of the new Christmas washi tape from idea-ology as well as some gold washi I had in my stash.

I added Nuvo Drops to embellish the tree along with some Nuvo glitter paste for a little added snow.  I love the simplicity of this card and I hope you do as well.

Peace this Christmas

Hi everyone! It’s Monica from Taylormadecards4u. While we may not want to see all the Christmas decorations popping up in all the stores quite yet, it is not too early to start our handmade Christmas Cards.

This is called  Peace coordinating set and can be ordered over at the shop. There are several Christmas sets in stock, so be sure to check them out while you are there.

I love these coordinating sets. They are so versatile with both the stamps and the matching die cut.  The sets give you lots of options for different sentiments as well.

 

I am using one of my Tim Holtz die cuts from last year and added some Nuvo Glitter paste to create my snow.

The snowflakes are stickers from my stash along with the holly rub on. It is a very simple card with minimal embellishments, but I just love that snow! What do you think?

Trick or Treat?

Hi everyone! It’s Monica from Taylormadecards4u. I wanted to share with you a Halloween card made with a non traditional Halloween stamp.  There are so many Halloween stamps out there this time of the year, sometimes we forget that we can create such cute Halloween cards with some of the stamps we my already have/

This set is called Woof! The set even has a matching die cut to help cut out these cute little critters.

What I love about this set is that it can continue to be used even when Halloween is over. It can work for birthday cards, get well cards, and even Christmas cards. All you need to do is pop on a Santa hat!

The background was created using two distress oxides, spiced marmadale and twisted citron, along with the stripes stencil from the Tim Holtz collections.

The witches had and cauldron are stickers I have had in my stash from prior Halloweens.  If you would like to see how I created this card, it is part of my 7 Days of Halloween series over on You Tube.

Birthday Bug!

Hey friends! I am here today sharing a little inspiration for the current challenge going on here at A2ZScrapbooking.

 I decided to go digital this time and am sharing some images from the City Adventures Digital Kit.

I love the VW Bugs and Wagons, especially the older ones. My husband owned one when he was in college and it was stolen and stripped for parts. I don’t think he ever got over it. So in honor of his BUG, I decided to create a couple of birthday cards. 

These backgrounds are very Bright and Beautiful, which fits in to our challenge currently going on.

For the inside of the cards I used digital set Special Birthday. 

Digital images can easily be imported to your word documents and sized to whatever size you need. They are a great way to increase you image collection without having to have extra storage space.

Hello!

Hi Everyone, it’s Monica from Taylormadecards4u. I am here to share with you a card I made using this month’s challenge theme “Bright & Beautiful.”

I decided to create a mixed media card, as those typically are my favorite types to make. I started out with a piece of white card stock and created a background using does distress oxides.  Once I was happy with the design, I cut down using the crazy stitch die. I added some background interest with a small words set.

I then added some embossing paste using a Tim Holtz stencil and outlined it with a distress crayon.  To add more interest, I stamped the background using a stamp from Finnabair to add some small words on the barckground.

Next I added some washi tape and a stamped sentiment that reads “hello…you brighten my day” and finished it off with some black Nuvo drops.

Miss You!

Hey friends, I am back sharing another card using the Hero Arts set Woof!  This is such a fun set and has the cutest little dogs. 

Now this set does not say these are Dachshunds, but they sure look like Dachshunds to me. Perhaps because I have two little dottsies of my own and that is all I see! I colored the little pup in using Copic Colors E35 & E37. The heart was colored with R27.

The set has some great sentiments, but I thought this “miss you” sentiment said it all for this little critter.

Thinking of You

 

I have always loved the look that the layered stamps create. Especially the flowers!

I used the Hero Arts Layering Hibiscus stamp along with the Hello Stamp and Die Cut set to create this nice thinking of you card.

I didn’t want to use traditional vibrant colors, so instead I used the Hero Arts Charcoal Granite ink and the Intense Black to create the flowers.  After I stamped out the flowers, I used peeled paint Distress Oxide to stamp out the leaf, along with my intense black ink.

I used the hello die to cut out two  green “hello” sentiments and glued them together using Multi Medium Gloss.  I then glued it onto my white card over the flowers.  I added some washi tape and cut out my panel using a stitched die.

I matted the floral card base onto some green card stock, then matted that onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card base. I added some Ebony Black and Apple Green Nuvo drops for added texture and interest.
