Color Layering with Hero Arts Holly and Snowflakes

Hi Everyone! Kristina here today playing with some goodies from the Hero Arts Holiday Release!

I started but cutting the Hero Arts Snowflake Confetti die from Neenah solar white cardstock, and trimming it down by 1/8″ on all sides. I wanted some blue wintry contrast, so I mounted it on some blue bazzil cardstock.

Next I stamped two of each stamp from the Hero Arts Color Layering Holly stamp set. For the leaves, I stamped the first layer in Hero Arts Green Hills ink, the second in Lime Green, and the last layer in Cup of Joe. I cut all the images out using my Brother Scan N Cut, but you can also get the coordinating dies.

To finish the card I got everything set up where I wanted it, and used Press N Seal to hold it all in place while I slowly adhered each piece, more on this technique from Laurie Willison / Jennifer McGuire on her blog here.

After everything was assembled, I stamped my sentiment in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and embellished with some sequins, and the confetti from the snowflake die.
