A Hero Arts Retailer

Thanksgiving with Hero Arts

Happy Aloha Friday friends!  Can you believe fall is right around the corner?  Time for me to stock up on all those holiday cards!  I don’t always have the right stamps for every holiday, so to get my cards “holiday ready” I go with a color theme for the season/occasion.

Here’s what I mean…

Thanksgiving with Hero Arts and Peacock Feathers

I used the Hero Arts Peacock Feather Stencil (which is on sale at an amazingly low price right now!) to create a card for Thanksgiving.  I worked with sponge daubers and Distress Oxide inks in Candied Apple, Wild Honey, Antique Linen, and Frayed Burlap.

To break up the pattern I used a die cut circle.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Color Layering  Pineapple inked in Distress Oxide Ink Walnut Stain.  For some glitz, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Golden Sunset.

To create the second card I used the same color scheme on Kraft cardstock and adhered the die cut circle.  Another quick and easy card!

Mahalo for stopping by!

  1. Love your cards, Niki! The use of both the positive and negative cuts is awesome!

  2. I love the pattern, almost like Fall leaves and the colors are marvelous. Great design too.
