Hero Arts CM131 Purr Cat’s Pajamas card

I had heard the expression “cat’s pajamas” before but I wasn’t sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing! I looked it up – according to google it means “an excellent person or thing”. So, I guess it’s a good thing, a nice compliment to pay someone. Keeping that in mind, I used this sentiment for my card.

I’m a cat person and love this stamp set. I was trying to think of ways to use this set to create a card. I started with a tri-square die to cut out the “windows” from a piece of kraft cardstock. To add a bit of interest, I used Cuttlebug’s Oxford embossing folder. On the cardbase, I lightly marked with a pencil the outlines of the “windows” and stamped three adorable kitties in the “windows”. I coloured them with Copics. To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment and punched it out using an oval punch. I used a scalloped oval punch to mat the sentiment and popped the sentiment up with dimensionals.

  1. Now it all make sense, thanks for the explanation on the cute saying! The kitties are just so adorable!!

  2. I love cats too. I love dogs too. LOL… Cats have always lived at my house, if not living at my house, they socialize at my house. However, since I moved, I don’t have either, maybe next year. But I LOVE your windows for the kitties. They are all quite adorable.

  3. Your card is so sweet! The kitties are all so adorable.

  4. Awesome kitty card! Your CARD is the cat’s pajamas. 🙂 Love the coloring, and the subtle detail of the embossing. Tfs! 🙂 ~ Andrea
