Hi friends – welcome back! I had so much fun making this carD and it came together very quickly – even better! First the ‘official schtuff’!
If you don’t see some of the products I used in the Etsy shop; don’t hesitate to create a special order, they do those ALL. THE. TIME! 😀 I think a couple items may be sold out but there are lots of other alternatives too.
Also, don’t forget to use coupon code MicheleG15 to receive 15% off your order of $25 or more! 😀 Happy shopping!
And last, don’t forget to join our TAG challenge this month – we love seeing you creations!
OK, now down to b’ness! I took a piece of ranger water color paper and sponged heavily with spun sugar, the added the Bold Floral Stencil and sponged on abandoned coral distress ink. Before removing the stencil, I sprayed with shimmer mist; I knew the colors would run somewhat but that’s okay. (If you follow me on snapchat. I peeked a couple quick videos of the sponging and shimmer mist – username: whimsycreation).
I sat the main panel aside to dry and worked on the ‘thanks’ and vellum piece. The ‘thanks’ was cut 4 times from black card stock and glued together; once dry I sponged with VersaMark and added clear sparkle embossing powder…three different times. I embossed a sentiment on vellum and although the sentiment is normally in a straight line, I decided to curve it to match the ‘thanks’ a bit more. Some striped paper, thread and enamel dots finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by; don’t forget to join this month’s challenge – TAGS! Thanks for stopping by!
