Hi friends – welcome back for another fun ANYTHING GOES card – or two! Hope you will join us this month with your ANYTHING GOES project – just make sure you have one main Hero Arts product on your creation – a stamp, die, digi – endless options! We love seeing your creations.
OK – so yeah…two cards; I made the first one and loved where it was going; then it took a wrong turn and I didn’t love it so much! HA – seriously, please tell me this happens to you too?
Therefore, I set about making a 2nd card from some inspiration I found online when googling You’re So Lovely. Now…I MUST. GET. THE. MATCHING. DIES. 😀
The first card is bright and bold; I cut the PRAYERS from a post it note, layered onto some Hero Arts white paper and stamped all the images in Versamark then embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder. I then sponged on various distress inks – messy was a-okay for this project! Once I sponged on ink for the images, I gently sponged on Tumbled Glass distress ink over the remainder of the card and gave the entire panel a few spritz of shimmer mist. I finished it off by die cutting the center piece of the panel with a rectangle die…but peek into the inside; I originally cut it with a scalloped frame but then went with a rectangle die – but why let that cute scallop frame go to waste, I added it to the inside with a sentiment from the PRAYERS stamp set, thinking of you.
My next card is a bit more subtle. I started off with some Ranger water color paper and lightly spritzed it with water; then I stamped each floral image in various distress inks but also spritzed with water for a super soft look. Same for the leaf. Once all the images were stamped I spritzed with more water and added some flecks of black and white.
I again cut out the part of the panel I liked best and began layering on the other pieces. Can you see the focal point is all mounted on a white polka dot acetate die cut? The acetate can be hard to cut (I think) but I just love the soft dimension it adds! I cut the hello from black glitter paper and fun foam, added some silver thread. I heat embossed the super cute sentiment from Everyday Messages again in Hero Arts white embossing powder and layered it all up on some ombre paper with some black and white striped paper.
AND…I have in my possession some new Nuvo products so I added lots of accents for the final touch before mounting on a piece polka dot embosssed black card stock and a final teal card base.
