Good morning everyone! Jennifer here from Caffeinated Papercuts to wax poetic about the new Lime to Forever Green Ombre ink and the lovely new layered Christmas tree stamp set. Oh stop the groaning and humor me with a little Christmas in July, hmm? It’ll be worth it!
Yeah, I heard those “oooo”s – shaped card ombre happiness! There is a tutorial video coming, too, but my editing department fell asleep last night before a voice-over could be recorded. Good help is so hard to find these days…
I used all (4) tree pieces to create the card and my Misti stamp tool to help me line up all the layers. The very bottom, solid layer is stamped with the ombre ink and looks amazing just on its own. From there I added more dimension with Field Greens, a deeper green, and then I added snow with the Unicorn White ink and some clear embossing powder.
Ok, sad little secret – I don’t have a Hero Arts ink dark enough for the last layer so I used a different company. Turns out my green ink choices are pretty sparse! Must be time to shop…LOL
Once my tree was done I used the little snowflakes from the set and heat embossed a snow storm with white embossing powder. The sentiment in Cup O Joe finished the card front which measures 4″ in diameter. I mounted that with foam tape onto a 4.25″ diameter card base I created and this little card was done!
